Some of you guys who see a lot of out of state games are very well versed on the playoff systems of other states. Cali has an odd playoff system with the state carved up into sections, some somehow San Diego Lincoln wound up playing Concord De LaSalle for the state championship. When I look at the San Diego section four schools (Lincoln, Carlsbad, Granite Hills, Helix) competed in an Open division, while similarly sized schools from their leagues competed in section playoffs. How does this all work?
