10+ D1 recruits was the norm around here in the early to mid 2000's. In fact, the SVC alone had two U.S. Army All Americans in 2003 (Prescott Burgess & Louis Irrizarry).

Worm you certainly are the man. Do you have any idea on the number of kids in the valley that will be signing this year? Might be impossible to know right now I know.

Not sure. I’m hopeful that Harding quarterback Elijah Taylor gets a look. He’s been the school’s all-time leading passer since last year and he has like a 3.8 overall GPA. Not sure why he hasn’t got more attention recruiting wise.

I will say this... Without dropping a name, I believe that the best junior in the Mahoning Valley hasn’t even played yet this season.

2007 Sean Baker Canfield-Ball State (QB/HB/WR/FS/CB) recruited as a FS
2006 Angelo Babarro Canfield-Villanova (HB/DB/KR/PR) recruited as a HB
2006 Kyle Banna Canfield-YSU (FB/ILB) can't recall if he was recruited as a FB or LB for YSU
These are off the top of my head, as you said I am sure there are more it is just hard to remember everyone unfortunately.
 
I know Hubbard had 5 D1 recruits on their 2014 team.
Lj Scott Michigan state
George Hill Pittsburgh
Tyler Taafe Toledo
Mathew Jones West Virginia
Isaiah Scott YSU

As far as current juniors. Hubbard OL/DL Goodrick is getting D1 looks and should be one of the areas top lineman next year as a senior. Not sure what kind of looks if any Caffey is getting but he should be one of the top running backs in the area next season.

Yeah Mooney had at least 5/6 guys in their ‘08 class alone. The area was insane back then!

Mark Carrocce (Villanova) Jake Esarco (Colgate) Jake Cummings (YSU) Paul Breinz played 1 year at Ohio Dominican and then Kent offered him a full scholarship after being a d2 freshman all-american, from Canfield.

Taylor is very good. Love to see him go somewhere decent.

Is this player currently a Raider?
 
Springfield's kicker is going to get some serious DI looks. He kicked a 52 yard FG this year and puts almost every kickoff deep into the end zone. Unfortunately I do not know his name. He is a senior though I think.

Musolino is a redshirt Junior. He was also moved to LB. He did play FS at Struthers and was recruited as a safety.

I’d be surprised if Thomas doesn’t end up D1. Maybe not Kentucky or a P5 but I think he’s at least MAC level.

Love I’d agree won’t based on what I’ve seen to-date out of him. Maybe not even D2.
