So far Team Biden has used the "carrot" approach in implementing the Green New Deal. A trillion dollars in spending to encourage use of wind and solar energy. Now comes the "stick" with these latest regulations. One will be forced to change behaviors and go green if you want to have power for home or business..

Is it the federal government's responsibility to create a migration crisis when none existed? Is it the federal governments responsibility to fund war in Ukraine ? Is it the federal government's responsibility to forgive student loan debt when those funds could be used for domestic disaster relief or as you suggest, homelessness in California? The duty of any government is to prioritize its citizens first.

The takeaway is the timing. The current Congress will not rescind the rules given a Democrat Senate and the rules will become permanent under the Congressional Review Act before a potentially Republican controlled Congress is sworn in 2025. The Democrats are masters at using every twist of the law to advance their agenda. The only thing that can stop this regulatory coup would be a Trump presidency and his executive order pen.

In my idyllic world, housing is not a function of government. Yet reality says otherwise. If we are at the point were America has been transformed to the point all things stem from the government, would not taking care of our own poor and down trodden take precedence over funding foreign wars ?
