McDonald beat VC 72-49 back in late December (McDonald played them the day after the month shut-down for Trumbull was lifted). Obviously a game that long ago doesn’t have a ton of bearing, but I’d expect McDonald to win by 10-15.

Was a great game. That VC team was tough, scrappy and relentless. They really frustrated McDonald on offense. Blue Devils bailed out by a deep 3. Win and advance though.

JFK up 9 after 1. McDonald without the hero from Tuesday night due to health protocols. Big loss.

McDonald tied it at 31-31, then JFK finished the half on 8-0 run. 39-31 at Half.

If you want to circle a big swing in the game, the no call on Portolese there at the end. Instead of him shooting free throws to possibly cut it to 3, McDonald turns it over and JFK drains a 3 at the buzzer. 5 point swing.

JFK pulls away at the end. Big call early in the 4th McDonald got called for an iffy at best travel instead of an and-1 that could’ve cut it to 4. JFK then made a big shot and really took the wind out of McDonald’s sails. McDonald missed street big time. But congrats to the Eagles, they got a good team, length, and can shoot.
