go to OHSAA websit under boys basketball and lookup under State Tournament- go to live stats lookup the finals stats for Division 5- look up notes and list the attendance as 4325
I think the OHSAA is very happy with the attendance numbers- do not have numbers for the State Semi-Finals but many of the Semi Finals had 3000-5000 attendance.
I have spoken to some that went to the 3 days state tournament and most say by Saturday they tend to not stick around for the finals unless there is a matchup they want to see. Agree I could do 7 games in 2 days but 3 work for me doing Friday. Everyone has an opinion but this year the OHSAA has...
I have agree with the last 2 posts- went to games on Friday and was just great atmosphere and good crowds- was kinda down on the 7 divisions at the beginning of season but for me the Friday finals changed my mind. 7 games is a bit much to watch but for me the 3 on Friday was fine with me and...
The D2 attendance was similar to the D4 final- both schools had nice representation but think the casuals seemed to be a little less. I was there til halftime and left. As for the day D3 had the largest with following from both schools was good. As for the D4- Maysville crowd was incredible-...
Thought Glenville was in control and started playing delay and took momentum from themselves- Garfield Heights did the same and end losing to Louisville in State semis
Agree with you skyvue- think need to take Division I to 72 or 80 schools then maybe take Division II to 80 or 90 then divide the remaining schools- once you take out the top 175 or so schools the enrollments fall into place where not alot of disparity if the remaining divisions are divided equally.
Garfield Hts had a 11 point lead early in the 4th and decided to play the delay game- Garfield Hts had a 3 turnovers and a couple missed shots and Louisville responsed and beat Garfield Hts 49-48. This will be a if only game for Garfield Hts.
