    Final X / World Championships

As mentioned above, the seeding is based off of pts earned in ranking tournaments, continental championships, and World/OLY championships. Some of the higher ranked seeds tho will not be competing for various reasons. And there is 1 more ranking series event to change this. Here are the current...

    Final X / World Championships

I read that thread up until close to the Final X posts. :ROFLMAO:

    Final X / World Championships

Flow has perhaps the best World rankings. Here's where each of the reps are ranked: 57 Spencer Lee #1 61 Vito Arujau #1 61 Jax Forrest #11 / #5 (eliminating multiple ranked wrestlers from same country) 65 Real Woods #20 / #9 70 PJ Duke #17 / #10 74 David Carr #9 / #7 79 Levi Haines not ranked...

    Final X / World Championships

Strangely their was not a peep about Final X here on Yappi. While obviously anyone who cared about it knows what happened, here's a recap for casual fans who didn't follow it: 57 kg - Spencer Lee over Luke Lilledahl 7-2, 6-0 61 kg - Vito Arujau vs Jax Forest delayed due to injury (Vito) 65 kg -...

    Glory Days

This year only Snyder remains as a US rep from the Fab Five of the Glory Days. And Snyder, his last gold in '22 failed to medal in the '24 OLY, his first miss on a World/OLY medal since he won a World gold in 2015. DT and Cox apparently are retired, JB did not enter this year but won't say he is...

    DT on the Radar

Well Final X has come and gone, and The Magic Man is still on Cael's radar. The CRTC crowned 3 champs, Carr, Valencia and Hendrickson to match the NLWC, Duke, Haines and Snyder. The Cowboys have one more coming up in Forest vs Vito at 61 kg (delayed due to Vito injury). I'm not ready to name a...

    2025 Senior World Team Trials

OK, this is a strange list b/c it has guys who are retired (D Taylor) and guys at wrong weights (Dake at 74). And these will change quite a bit b/c there's a couple of Ranking Series Tournaments left and I think Continental Championships (Pan Ams) count for Ranking Series pts. I'm only listing...

    2025 Senior World Team Trials

A great list but my guess is these rankings are probably Flo. The seeds will be determined by UWW rankings which are different. Don't have time to do that now. Maybe later. And I do think Flo's list (or whoever) is more accurate. The UWW list is based off of ranking series tournaments.

    Dave Schultz HS Excellence Award

And it is…Ohio’s Marcus Blaze! Congrats Marcus!

    DT on the Radar

Same here. Part of it is DT being an Ohio boy and part of it is getting tired of PSU running away w/ NCAAs every year. I used to despise Iowa but really enjoyed them winning in 2121. Cael's obviously a special coach, arguably the GOAT (altho I'll stick ww/ Gable until Cael passes him) and has...

    DT on the Radar

I thought I'd revive this thread from the dead after an interesting US Open. Now we all know that the WTTs and Final X are coming up and very well the NLWC may crush all in their path, including the Magic Man. But the CRTM did crown one more champ (4) than the NLWC (3), and the brightest HS star...

    Dave Schultz HS Excellence Award

David Carr, 2018 Schultz winner, was the last to win an NCAA title (2021 & 2024).

    Dave Schultz HS Excellence Award

A solid favorite IMO for the Dave Schultz HS Excellence Award, HS's Hodge Trophy, is Ohio's Marcus Blaze from Perrysburg. Ohio's last Schultz winner was in 2018, NCAA 2X champ David Carr. In 2009 & 2010 Ohio's David Taylor, winner of 2 NCAA championships and 4 OLY/World golds, and Logan Stieber...
