They didn't get screwed by the coaches vote at all last year. They went 5-4 against D1 teams, with losses to the teams seeded #7, #10, #23, and #28 and wins over the teams seeded #19, #25, #28, #29, and #33. They got the #20 seed, played the #16 seed, and lost a close game. I would say that #20 seed was just about right.
And because they, and other teams like them, are butthurt about being treated "unfairly," they had to complain to the OHSAA and the OHSAA decided to completely blow up a division format that has worked for 37 years. Get better at basketball. And guess what? You're still going to be in a division with Withrow, Aiken, LaSalle, and Turpin dropping down with you as well and also joined by Chaminade-Julienne, Trotwood, Alter, and McNick among many others. They're not going to feel sorry for you. Western Brown would not have made a deep tournament run against that competition. They probably would have been able to win one game and that's it. Their fellow SBAAC schools went 0-5 in the D2 tournament last year and 1-4 in the D3 tournament. It's just a bad conference, no matter what size schools they play.
