Oh well, now he can bulk back up to 180.JO loses 3-2. Heartbreaker for USA
That match was everything the USA doesn't do well. They can push and attack for 6 minutes straight, but holding center and getting the first passivity point are two necessary skills in international wrestling that countries like Russia just do better than the US.sigh...
I wholly agree. That match was everything the USA doesn't do well. They can push and attack for 6 minutes straight, but holding center and getting the first passivity point are two necessary skills in international wrestling that countries like Russia just do better than the US.
Team USA has five guys who can medal in Tokyo and six women who can challenge as well. Gotta move on and come home with some hardware.
And qualifying all six wrestlers is insanely tough. Only Iran and Russia did so this year, and Russia needed last chance to do so. 15/18 qualified wrestlers for all styles is one more than the USA got in 2016 as well.I wholly agree.
I'm excited about our teams. Aug. is a long ways away. USA! ??
*AmericansLooks like Finesilver took a 4-2 loss in the semis. Rough day for Americans
A wrestler like Mitch Finesilver, who would never have the opportunity to make a Senior US team, getting the opportunity to travel the world and wrestle is nothing but a good thing for wrestling in the United States. You can argue with me on guys like Micic (who could make a world team domestically), but guys like Finesilver and Sebastian Rivera and Angus Arthur getting to wrestle for another country is great.*Americans
Yea wrestling for Israel benefits the United States greatlyA wrestler like Mitch Finesilver, who would never have the opportunity to make a Senior US team, getting the opportunity to travel the world and wrestle is nothing but a good thing for wrestling in the United States. I didn't say it did, I said it benefits wrestling in the United States. The more kids that can get paid to travel the world and wrestle the better. If they do so for a different country, you shouldn't have a problem with it.Yea wrestling for Israel benefits the United States greatly
