Sad to see. Being a CPS grad it was nice to see Coach Murray get Northland their first team trophy in years.
This is sad, but what drove the the non-renewal of the contract? Is it related to the schools having their budget cut by the Governor? Would have been nice for the article to go into the why on the contract part. Very unfortunate for these kids, not just from a wrestling standpoint, but from the standpoint of having the SROs in the building.

Very true, the City League isn't the same as it used to be. Coach Murray did a nice job at Northland, the Vikings had a heck of a year getting 2nd place behind Walnut Ridge.

It's a shame. I hope he can still coach in some capacity. I was able to see firsthand how the kids responded to him these last few years. Things were getting progressively better over there.
