Your schools greatest team...

Was that the year they were down 21-0 or something like that to Ursuline and came back to win? Both of those teams were loaded.
Yeah, I was at that game. Ursuline was up at the half and just blew it. Lake Catholic scored, and it was obvious that Ursuline just tightened up.

Poor old sap still reliving his high school glory years. Most of us have moved on. Of course I suspect, much like Macincheese, you probably never stepped foot on an athletic field of any kind. Unless, of course, it was to go play your trumpet.

Nice information Ohiopup!!

53 out of 59 1st place votes went to teams in Northern Ohio, and the other 6 went to Middletown.
Glad to see Roger Bacon get some love at tied for 7th place.

MostChilly,
Yea, you probably have me figured...Princeton most likely would have won, but like some of your best teams that didn't get in, '83 was probably Centerville's 2nd best ever ( 2nd to '76 ) and didn't get to play. I do think our '83 team would have given you guys all you wanted though. I say this for 3 reasons.
1) They had a better offense than the '84 team that played you even in a scrimmage that year. We too had a D1 (Air Force) QB.
2) They were better overall than the '84 team that beat Moeller and
3) They were at least a touchdown better than the '80 team that lost to state champ Moeller 14-20.
I do concede that in other years ( though not our best teams ) that we played you guys in your prime, you owned us...but not that '83 team.
Much respect for Centerville.

I think Princeton finished nationally ranked 3 years in a row '83 = 2nd, '84 = 24th, '85 = 18th

The '86 team probably not, '87 team was but not sure what #
IMHO, ‘84 team was better than the ‘83 team. I think they started out as the #1 or #2 team in the country. They didn’t have Mike Taylor in the first two games and lost. Absolutely destroyed everyone when he came back. In my opinion, easily the best team in the state when Mike returned. Still finished nationally ranked.

’87 team nationally ranked also. ‘88 team might have been. Can’t remember.

You are so obsessed with downgrading schools that have won state titles, to overcompensate for your team's failure to win one, that you by proxy prove yourself to be a fraud.:)
All talk as usual, and now we can add liar to that list. When a team in Ohio gets to 24 titles in football then you can say I am downgrading schools based on how many titles they have. Until then .

Here is how life works. Win something and then put a sign up. Mass. has nothing and everyone knows it except for you sheep that want to tell others of your supposed self-importance.

The title of this thread is your schools greatest team.
My team is the Massillon Tigers a school with 899 wins and 24 titles so it’s impossible to pick just one team in the storied history.
When your all time record is 899-292-36 and you have outscored your opp 31,994 - 12,844 it’s just not possible to pick one.

When you can come even close to matching the stats posted above we can debate but until then it’s not even close.

I see now you are here again on this thread spewing your garbage. A couple Ignatius posters ripped you an another thread and now you here for more. Maybe you should take more time to find out why many people are jumping the ship known as VIlla Angela/St. Joseph.
