Raiders to play in MLB Giants' ballpark in 2019, report says

They do play a bowl game there yearly, at least. A great baseball venue. Not a great football venue, but the Raiders don't care. Vegas is waiting with open arms.
I wouldn't bet against (and I really didn't intend the pun) Vegas landing an NBA team at some point. I think the MLB would try hard to avoid Vegas, but with the two FLA teams struggling with attendance, as well as others like the A's...some team might challenge MLB with a Vegas attempt. The Braves would try hard to keep teams out of Nashville and Charlotte, so that takes away two growing MLB-possible markets.

I feel like the NFL would privately tell the Niners to just let it slide for 2019 and let the Raiders leave the area entirely to the Niners after 2019.

San Jose is also like 60 miles away from Oakland and 50 miles from San Fran. In ten years or so the 49ers are going to be lobbying for a new stadium closer to San Francisco because no one goes to the games and it's usually incredibly hot

They were discussing playing in Reno too. Would be kind of embarrassing having two teams in the same division playing in sub 30k seat stadium
They could schedule a home game in Mexico City and London and really only need to have 6 "home" games next season.

Mark Davis does not want to play at 49ers stadium and the city of San Francisco does not want them playing at AT&T Park for some reason. So they might be playing in Reno or at UNLV after all

The NFL is the one with the issues at Sam Boyd Stadium. Unlike StubHub Center, Sam Boyd Stadium is old, the sidelines are small, facilities are run down and below NFL standards.
Nothing to do with the size of the venue. Lockerrooms, press boxes, etc. StubHub Center is/was a first class facility when it was built. Just smaller for MLS. Sam Boyd Stadium isn't and hasn't been updated. Now, Nevada's stadium in Reno has just recently been fully renovated. So, that's why it's a potential option.
But, since they're apparently keeping all their offices, etc in the bay area, moving to Las Vegas would be tougher than Reno. Reno is also a bit closer for the current Oakland fans to make the drive if they so chose to do.
49ers built Levi's Stadium with sharing it in mind. The Raiders have flat out refused to be the Jets in Giants Stadium. They want their own market and stadium and that won't work in Santa Clara. But, nowhere else around there is good enough for them, or outside 49ers market territory.
Sam Boyd stadium is certainly not a great option, but it at least puts the Raiders in Las Vegas and allows them to have a home without basically sleeping on someones couch for a year.
