Wonder if he is headed back to EL as Cusick's assistant?Add Wellsville's Robert Ramsey to the list of coaches who have stepped down.
Yep, talked to someone tonight that said exactly that. Ramsey is going to be the defensive coordinator for the Potters.Wonder if he is headed back to EL as Cusick's assistant?
Did they work together before?Yep, talked to someone tonight that said exactly that. Ramsey is going to be the defensive coordinator for the Potters.
Now to wonder who will take the Wellsville spot.Yep, talked to someone tonight that said exactly that. Ramsey is going to be the defensive coordinator for the Potters.
I'm not aware of Cusick and Ramsey working together previously, but Ramsey was a coach at East Liverpool before, so Cusick might be trying to get some coaches on board that the kids know and respect to help with the transition. That's just my theory.Did they work together before?
The rumor is that Leetonia is discussing the possibility of going to 8 man football next year. Keep in mind that as far as I know it is just a rumor.
EP will be next if the BOE doesn't get it head out of it's arse!!! They couldn't finish the last season due to low numbers. A D6 school to boot! The rumor is that Leetonia is discussing the possibility of going to 8 man football next year. Keep in mind that as far as I know it is just a rumor.
I'm asking not trolling. What can the BOE do to help EP's football program? Typically the superintendent, athletic director, and principle have the most influence on athletics.EP will be next if the BOE doesn't get it head out of it's arse!!! You cannot allow families to interfere with coaching. There is much more, better left unsaid here, but the AD needs the BOOT for starters.I'm asking not trolling. How do you feel about the basketball coach? I’ve played sports with him growing up, he seems really passionate about EP even if he played at Crestview I believeYou cannot allow families to interfere with coaching. There is much more, better left unsaid here, but the AD needs the BOOT for starters.
Yes. It was announced earlier today.Hearing the Newton Falls coach is stepping down
SikoraAny names floating around for the Newton Falls job?
Not to mention worrying about kids trashing locker rooms.Tristan is a good coach, but once again, with the "priveledged" he has issues like a few others had.
Parental and administrative influence got them back on the floor! Not to mention worrying about kids trashing locker rooms.
Why would they do that?Sikora
I believe he was the DC there last season and is in the school in some capacityWhy would they do that?
Why would they do that?
Thank you for the clarification...Lazarri is staying on as AD so he would essentially be hiring his buddy to replace him
Thank you for the clarification...
So why bother with the hiring process. Just hire Sikora as the new HC and save everyone time.Lazarri is staying on as AD so he would essentially be hiring his buddy to replace him
Have rules in place by Union contract, wouldn’t think there’d be much interest anywaySo why bother with the hiring process. Just hire Sikora as the new HC and save everyone time.
What about a young coach on staff like Josh GossSo why bother with the hiring process. Just hire Sikora as the new HC and save everyone time.
Not much interest because there aren't many qualfied candidates in this area capable of being a head coach. Very few coaches in this area are educators now a days. Non educators focus on the outcomes rather than the process and focus on themselves rather than the experiece for the student athletes. Most established coaches aren't leaving the programs they've built. The established ones who DO leave apply for multiple jobs each year and tend to resemble the coaches who are non-educators.Have rules in place by Union contract, wouldn’t think there’d be much interest anyway
I have seen you post something similar before and the more I think it about it, you are probably right. There just isn't a "bench" of coaches like past decades. Perhaps this void will now allow for some unknown and/or young coaches to show their abilities or develop into a new generation of program leaders. Not much interest because there aren't many qualfied candidates in this area capable of being a head coach. Not disagreeing honestly believe to be a head coach they need to be in the system, unfortunately not the case much anymore lack of people going into the teaching professionNot much interest because there aren't many qualfied candidates in this area capable of being a head coach.
