worst neutral site stadium

Honestly, haven't been to a neutral site that I thought was terrible. I know Welcome Stadium in Dayton catches quite a bit of hate on here, but I never found it an overwhelmingly bad place to see a game. With schools having to choose to put in for neutral site games I find most are very good facilities with good logistics of how to run such an operation. The introduction of the first and second round home games have allowed for far worse playoff sites than the neutral fields ever have.

worst neutral site stadium? thankfully my pirates have never had to play at lima stadium, that place is a DUMP
*Spartan* Stadium is actually a pretty nice place to play now. Plenty of seats, decent enough parking between the lots right next to the stadium and the high school, and a really nice scoreboard and sound system, and the turf was just replaced a couple years ago. The park area south of the stadium makes it feel like a completely different stadium than what it used to. The locker rooms are nice and the teams & officials have an easy parking lot to get in and out of away from the fans. It doesn't have the same character as the old concrete stadium but there was nothing they could do to save that structure. The only thing they screwed up on was the press box. The box they have now might not even be half the size of the old one.

It's been a few years, but Parma Byers Field. The stadium was fine, but you could see the field turf was worn so badly that it was starting to separate at some of the seems on the field. If I remember correctly, the 50 yard line was starting to separate. I'm thinking this was around 2020-22.

Welcome certainly caught flack back in the day...I think it was astro turf?

I've seen many bad weather games there

i went to a game there a few years ago and it almost feels depressing to be there

Probably an unpopular opinion, but not a fan of Ravenna. The blue turf is cool on TV for Boise State, but in person, it's too much. Also not a fan of paying for parking. I know they are allowed, but who carries cash these days?
I can't remember being at a neutral site game that did not charge for parking. The parking money is one of the few perks for hosting and I have no problem with it.

ROSS HS in Ross, Ohio very very limited seating on the away side OHSAA must not have scouted this out very well Expecting 6-8 thousand to attend the game of LS and Harrison ( 2 neighborhood rivalries located ~ 10 miles apart ) look at the stadium for yourself

Columbia vs Kirtland at Brooklyn was a surprise. I heard it was originally to be played in Euclid, so I am guessing this was a last minute thing.

I can't remember, did stadium have visitor press box before or was it all on the home side? I know visitors have their own now, so maybe that's why the new home one isn't so big?

Where you expect ML & Ansonia to play at? I seen on another thread you whinning about the travel to Lima getting throttled by 50 points. If you like it, just stay home eat some dinner at the Whistle Stop.
Honestly I'm not as big of a fan of neutral site games as I used to be. The whole bidding to host is a not great. Don't give me the planning bs either after Covid as an excuse. Versailles would be good enough with the Tigers out already.

I don’t definitively know if this was the reason why, but I heard from a person or two that there were safety concerns for both teams & they agreed on moving to a different location. I won’t say that’s for a fact though, just what I’ve heard.

I believe Lake Catholic was supposed to play vs. Mogadore Field at Euclid last week & it got moved to Painesville Riverside for what I can only assume are similar reasons.
