Collinwood is also the Railroaders.Old Brewster High School before consolidated to form Navarre Fairless were the Railroaders.
Their band plays Devo?Shelby City Schools in Shelby, OH. "The Whippets" I heard their band likes to play a popular song from Devo...
OTOH, when do you see the guy from the other "team" (starts with a J) portrayed as his actual color instead of white?I dislike color mascots such as Red Devils. Obviously the devil is red. Blue Devils is even worse because when do you ever see a blue devil.
You'd think colleges would have better things to do than worry about high school colors, logos etc particularly from a different state but I know North Canton Hoover got a letter a few years ago from North Carolina about their NC logo.Pretty sure the adopting of orange was a workaround for copyright issues, e.g. Georgia Tech vs Mt Vernon
I like the odd/unique ones. Norwalk Truckers comes to mind. Not in Ohio, but Ann Arbor has a couple good/bad ones depending how you look at it. The Pioneer Pioneers and the Huron River Rats. Add in the Dexter Dreadnaughts, Bedford Mules and Lincoln Railsplitters you have lots of unique names in that conference.
It's an old race horse, Man O' War. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man_o'_WarBig Red is a fire breathing horse. Sounds dumb. Hoping to see it in person next week though, lol.
There is also a Lawyers in their league, so when they get beat they can say they got railroaded.Collinwood is also the Railroaders.
SAINT Petersburg Devils...I see what they did thereEver seen (or even heard of) a Green Devil? Yeah, neither had I until I moved to Florida.

Not sure if it's all sports or just GBBDoes anyone know of any schools that have separate mascots for certain sports teams within their district? For example, in Stark County East Canton is the Hornets in all sports except girls' basketball where they are the Wizards. Does anyone know of any other schools with anything similar?

I think it's for all girls sports. It's weird because kittens are just baby cats, not only girl cats. Not sure if it's all sports or just GBB
It's the Bath Wildcats but GBB are the Wild Kittens. Not sure if volleyball, softball also use this or just GBB
Not for long. There's a movement to rename some CMSD schools. John Marshall Lawyers is on the list. There is also a Lawyers in their league, so when they get beat they can say they got railroaded.
Personally, I like the Olentangy district's rebranding. They're all modern and unique. Their school colors are displayed well.OLSD redid their logos/branding, in the name of being more “uniform” (eye roll), and funny you mention it…

Someone named a high school girls team Wild Kittens? And they are worried about Native American names? Not sure if it's all sports or just GBB

So sad to see the how the opioid crisis has hit our mascot community...Urbana Hillclimbers. The name Hillcimber isn't COMPLETELY atrocious. But the mascot look like a methed up version of the Frisch Big Boy. I've had more pleasant nightmares than this.

It's worse when the original nickname is clearly male and they stick "Lady" in front of it.Michigan's Upper Peninsula is home to the:
Gwinn Model Towners
Ishpeming Hematites
West Iron County Wykons
On a side note, what's with calling the girls' teams the "Lady ___________" when the mascot is asexual?
Do we really need "Lady Yellow Jackets", "Lady Wildcats", etc?

That’s what I was saying. I’m pretty sure it’s just GBB. I don’t live in the area any more, so I forget. It's not all of Bath girls sports. The girls soccer and volleyball teams are just the Wildcats. Not sure about softball.
