Hard to judge WR's pre-1978 to post-1978. Pre 1978, it was a different game for WR's. They didn't have the freedom to get open that they enjoy today.

I don't disagree. You take Rice's work ethic and combine it with Moss' pure athleticism and skill and you're looking at the most dominant wide receiver of all-time.

So was Cris Carter and Michael Irvin. There are so many great receivers throughout the history of the game, it's tough to put a ranked list together.
