Game of the week appears to be St. Marys at Wapak. I see 2 blowouts, and the Bath/Kenton game will determine a dividing line I think. If Kenton can at least look good, even with a loss it can avoid being placed into the bottom of the barrel with Celina and Defiance. Bath probably isn’t going to be a contender but I think it’s safe to say it’s not in the bottom level either. I think the four teams in the first two games listed above are all contenders, or at least capable of beating one of the top 3 teams.

Last week 18 people made picks, a large number of 7 didn’t, from week 1. There was one new picker too. 7 perfect records, and four people went 3-2, leaving 7 records of 4-1. There were 2 unanimous picks (St. Marys and Van Wert), not surprisingly against what appears to be by far the two worst teams in the league.
The consensus went 4-0-1, with Wapak/O-G being a rare tie.

Last week’s leader Shoeless Joe missed two games, to drop a game behind the new tri-leaders, who all went perfect this week. 3 other people that were 1 game back last week remained 1 game back this week. Of the 7 5-5 records last week, 2 went perfect to raise their record, and 4 didn’t even pick games this week. I'm going to start something new this week and mark the perfect records with a beautiful royal blue color.

(0-2) O-G at Elida (2-0) - I can’t see OG going to 0-3, no matter how good Elida is (1-1) Bath at Kenton (0-2) - better than Kenton,all that needs to be said
(0-2) Celina at Shawnee (2-0) - Shawnee is a real solid team this year
(2-0) Van Wert at Defiance (1-1) - unfortunately I think the week 1 win against Napoleon will be Defiance’s only win this season

Elida - this feels like a game where whoever I pick will lose. So, sorry Elida.
Bath - yeah, I'll stick with Bath.

Van Wert - running clock in the first half. And yes, I know the rules.
 
Haven't had the time or energy to even think about football this year, so I better do this while I have the chance.
