okay--so week four and the Federal League has two teams with only two loses. Yet there is no mention of any team from this area on this list.

heres my take for what its worth.

div 1

not sure why either Hoover or Boardman are not in the top 10. They are better then all but two teams on there.

div 2

Lima Bath and Defiance should both be there, urbana should be ranked higher then tipp city for sure.

div 3

I don't know much but miami east is not very good. there has to be some team in d3 that deserves to be there over them.

div 4

Felicity franklin should be #1 there. crestline is a nice team but not as strong as years past. covington has no business in there, felicity will roll them in the district final. remember I said it here first.

So... where does that put Massillon Perry who is on top of the FL and has beaten both Hoover & Boardman?

Boardman definitely doesn't deserve to be in the top 10. Perry & Hoover, though, certainly have an argument for them being there.

However, remember that this is a human-based poll - humans who frequently don't have a clue what softball is like beyond their neck of the state. For instance, Jackson boys basketball was #13 in the last state poll, and look where they ended up. All's that matters is who is still playing the first weekend of June, and I firmly believe we might see a Fed team playing that weekend*.

*Albeit I expect the Lady Bulldogs & Lady Explorers will have something to say about that.

This polls stinks. Now I sound like a jackson fan during bb season. I would think 20-2 Hoover should certainly be on this list along with Perry. You'd think 4 state titles would buy Hoover a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Guess not.

Perry and Hoover should be on this list, with Perry top 5:shrug:

No love for Fairless either in DII who is something like 18-4 with all of their losses coming against DI schools like Hoover, Perry, Wooster, and Glenoak. Congrats to the lady Falcons who also wrapped up their league title tonight with a 4-2 win against Tuslaw. Good job girls.

Fairless is located just south of Massillon and is comprised of the three small villages of Navarre, Brewster, and Beach City. Their girls softball team was actually State Runners Up 3 or 4 years ago losing to Carroll Bloom Carroll at Ashland.

IceDad34,

Stick with your Golden Eagles.

You didn't think Hoover had the best team in 2008, when they won the state championship.

Stay in the cooler, as there is no room on the Hoover band wagon!..:)

As a poll voter for the first time this year I will help you all understand why good teams are left out and undeserving teams might be getting votes. I was given NO information (besides a ballot) on how to research teams in areas outside of my district, who's playing well, etc. I requested that anyone who is voted for in a poll that they would have to submit info on their games for the week in order to be allowed to be part of the poll again the next week. How do I have ANY idea how good a team is that I've never seen play?? Now I know why no one wanted the position when I volunteered to do it. Needs to be improved on or it's really just a joke!!!
