Unless you know something the rest of us don’t, Shelby/Ontario play Friday night.Massillon will play Friday night, Shelby Ontario will be Saturday

Yeah but most teams don't travel like Massillon especially late into playoffs. Most venues are too small to accommodate our fans and Mansfield is perfectDisagree. Two Richland county teams should play at Arlin. That place will be packed.
Shelby actually has an amazing new facility. Super close to Mansfield, but not sure if they’re hosting games this year though.Yeah but most teams don't travel like Massillon especially late into playoffs. Most venues are too small to accommodate our fans and Mansfield is perfect
Right. Aren't they all on Fridays still?Unless you know something the rest of us don’t, Shelby/Ontario play Friday night.
I thought they were all on Friday night at this point as well. According to the OHSAA site, the dates are listed for Friday night.Right. Aren't they all on Fridays still?
Miss the days of games on both days to go to. D1 and D2 separately was best, but would even like d5-d7 to be Saturday to have choices
Yeah it changed a few years ago. Yet another ohsaa blunder imo. 8 teams per region and splitting them across two nights was peak HS footballI thought they were all on Friday night at this point as well. According to the OHSAA site, the dates are listed for Friday night.
PREACH IT!!!!!Yeah it changed a few years ago. Yet another ohsaa blunder imo. 8 teams per region and splitting them across two nights was peak HS football
Yeah my mistake they did change it backUnless you know something the rest of us don’t, Shelby/Ontario play Friday night.
They shouldn’t. Awful stadium to host a playoff game.Greenville won’t host
100% agree. Nothing pleasant at all about Gville. When Ansonia played New Bremen there both set of bleachers (if that’s what you want to call the cement slabs) were packed along with people standing. They shouldn’t. Awful stadium to host a playoff game.
Could Greenville even host since I believe that the played this year at the track/soccer facility after the press box and half the stands were destroyed in a storm in May/June?Greenville won’t host
There are 2 games tonight so it sounds like the OHSAA is ok with moving games to Saturdays if they need to.Right. Aren't they all on Fridays still?

Not nearly the same as splitting divisions like the good old daysThere are 2 games tonight so it sounds like the OHSAA is ok with moving games to Saturdays if they need to.
They 'needed to' to accommodate Steubenville CC being the home team at Harding Stadium (same as last week), and they agreed to move the Calvert game to accommodate for their girls volleyball state championship game that was played yesterday. There are 2 games tonight so it sounds like the OHSAA is ok with moving games to Saturdays if they need to.
No not at all, there is no reason for this nonsense they have now.Not nearly the same as splitting divisions like the good old days
So as I said if they need to they will move games to Saturday. They 'needed to' to accommodate Steubenville CC being the home team at Harding Stadium (same as last week), and they agreed to move the Calvert game to accommodate for their girls volleyball state championship game that was played yesterday.
Mentor is the higher seed. 55 for them and 38 for McKinley doesn't make sense at allKinda random but here is what makes sense:
Glenville & LC @ Euclid
Liberty & UA @ Thomas Worthington
Pick North & Berlin @ Gahanna Lincoln
Watterson & Licking Valley @ Watkins Memorial (if they are able to, I know they had construction going on)
Canton Mck & Mentor @ Stow
Harvest Prep & Ironton @ Athens
I hear you. But you know OHSAA always says it’s not about equal distance or an advantage for the higher seed. It’s about which schools are able and willing to host and has turf. Although that drive seems reasonable, less than an hour for both schools.Mentor is the higher seed. 55 for them and 38 for McKinley doesn't make sense at all

Gotcha. I was moreso referring to you mentioning seed as a factor for site selection. His post literally said here is what makes sense
Avoiding the potential of missing out on a large gate would not qualify as a need. Oh wait, maybe they could move Massillon to Saturday. So as I said if they need to they will move games to Saturday.
No way big enough. And I went to a D 6 game there years ago. Parking was terrible, they had tow trunks pulling cars out of the mud.Kinda random but here is what makes sense:
Glenville & LC @ Euclid
Liberty & UA @ Thomas Worthington
Pick North & Berlin @ Gahanna Lincoln
Watterson & Licking Valley @ Watkins Memorial (if they are able to, I know they had construction going on)

Right like the OHSAA is going to chance missing out on a payday. This weeks game doesn’t matter anyway, they could have it at a stadium like Zanesville etc and be just fine.Avoiding the potential of missing out on a large gate would not qualify as a need. Oh wait, maybe they could move Massillon to Saturday.
20 minutes difference doesn't matter. Won't be a big crowd anyway.Mentor is the higher seed. 55 for them and 38 for McKinley doesn't make sense at all
Again read the post I responded to from a guy saying this is what makes sense20 minutes difference doesn't matter. Won't be a big crowd anyway.
How do you know it won’t be a big crowd? Only big crowds come out for Massillon, you expecting a big crowd in that huge R7 semi? Mentor and McK will be a heck of a game, Bulldogs in a close one.20 minutes difference doesn't matter. Won't be a big crowd anyway.
