Contributing on Offense: 11 juniors, 6 seniors and 1 sophomore
Contributing on Defense: 9 juniors, 6 seniors and 1 to 3 sophomores
5 Sophomores on Varsity Roster: LBs Max Bonner and Pete Rose III, DLinemen Braylon Adams and JJ Dollenmeyer and TE Joey Wassler

Not entirely surprising that the team is heavy with underclassmen, but still eye opening. There is some serious beef on that line this year, and Parker is pretty giant for a center.

Couple of changes to the roster:
#18 Max Klare played TE last night
#66 Evan Fleetwood is a soph and looks to be the backup at both Tackle spots.
#65 Tyson Cravens So 5'10" 215 is also listed on the Varsity roster bringing the total # of sophs to 7.

Brownsburg ranked #3 in IN in preseason poll.

Go Bombers!!

Great tight end rotation with McGinnis, Klare and Joey Wassler.
Coverdale loves the TE position and we will get a heavy dose of double tight end sets this season
The OLine of Collins-Renneker-Parker-Koch-Jack Wassler is pretty solid
Fleetwood and Cravens are listed on the roster as juniors so guess it's a typo.
Those boys will have to wait a year as long as everyone stays healthy in a 6 game schedule

Game Summary from the Brownsburg Athletics website.....

The Brownsburg football team cruised to a 38-7 win over No.5 Ben Davis to open the 2020 season Aug. 21. Brownsburg jumped out to a 31-0 halftime lead and never looked back in the matchup.

The Bulldogs' stout defense and potent rushing attack led the way against the Giants. Brownsburg scored all but one of its touchdowns on the ground in the win. Meanwhile the defense allowed Ben Davis just 41 yards of total offense in the first half. DB Chris Williamsonsnagged a pair of interceptions in the first half for Brownsburg.

RB Caleb Marcus rushed 11 times for 92 yards in the win. Marcus scored the final touchdown of the night for Brownsburg on a 15-yard run. QB Ben Easters was 14-19 and threw for 136 yards. He found Dylan Hollen for a 32-yard touchdown in the second quarter that made it 21-0.

Cade Garner set the tone early for Brownsburg on a sack that forced a 3rd and long on the Giants opening drive. Moments later Garner made the play on the other side of the ball as he scored the first Brownsburg touchdown of the night. His four-yard rushing touchdown put the Bulldogs ahead 7-0 early.

Garner would strike again in the second quarter to put Brownsburg up 28-0 on Ben Davis.

Spencer Porath's 46-yard field goal put the cherry on top of a 31-point half for the Bulldogs.

With the big cushion the second half was quiet for Brownsburg outside of the Marcus touchdown. The Giants were able to get on the board with 2:06 left but it wasn't enough, and the Bulldogs moved to 1-0 on the year.

Finally something to get excited about while commies burn down cities and fascists scream at healthy teenagers to get away from each other and put a cloth diaper over their face so they can increase their carbon dioxide retention and chance for bacterial infection

GO X!

A national spotlight is set to shine on this weekend's Brownsburg Football matchup against St. Xavier (Ohio). It was announced Monday that the game will air on ESPN2 as a part of the GEICO ESPN High School football showcase. The seven-game slate features schools from nine different states. Brownsburg is the lone representative from the state of Indiana.

This year marks the second time that Brownsburg football has been televised on the ESPN family of networks. During the 2015 season the Bulldogs aired on ESPN for a B&O Trail Rotary Bell matchup with the Avon Orioles.

Mike Monaco will be on the call for ESPN2 along with former University of Notre Dame and Indianapolis Colts linebacker Rocky Boiman. Kickoff is at 6 p.m.

Brownsburg Community School Corporation is following the guidance of the Governor, the state and county health officials and the IHSAA with regard to fall athletic events. As a result, limited tickets are only available for team family and select students. Only those with an advanced ticket will be admitted to C.F. Roark Stadium for the game.

A couple of significant changes in the starting lineup this week. Drew Britt has moved to starting Free Safety. Britt is a D! lacrosse recruit. He has great agility and speed. Coaches are excited about what he can add to the defensive backfield. Moving Britt became an option with the move of Klare to TE. Klare reminds coaches a lot of Marshal Lang who was a major cog in the offense last year. Coach Cov really likes the two tight end formation which forces the defense to defend the run and pass equally on every snap. The play of TE s McGinnis Klare and Wassler is really coming on

Klare has moved to first on the TE depth chart
Moving Britt to adjuster enables McFarlin to move into the slot position.
Does Cummings move back to LB?
Beat Brownsburg!

For any St X parents able to make the trip for the game. I actually live near the Brownsburg area. The Bulldogs have a very nice football field. Here are a list of place in Brownsburg to eat if you are interested.
Sal's Famous Pizzeria
Green Street Pub and Eatery
Boulder Creek
So Italian
El Toro Mexican (there are actually 2 of them in Brownsburg)
Pit Stop BBQ and Grill
Tequila Sunrise
There is also a Buffalo Wild Wings.

I don't have addresses but you can definitely google them. There are more chain places too but this is a good starting list.

Solid first half by the Bombers, 17-3
Clifford and Patterson a pretty lethal WR combination.
Devine leading the defense in the shutdown.
Get the ball to start the second half.
A long drive to the end zone to start the second half would make it tough on the Bulldogs.
Is the stadium announcer bothering anybody else?

Stadium announcer is obnoxious, worse than the one at the Birdcage. McCaughey looks really smart and composed and the receivers are looking good in space. The last couple drives for Brownsburg, the D seems to have figured something out, and Devine is really stepping up, the kid always seems to be around the ball

Should we be concerned about the lack of a run game or is Brownsburg run defense that stellar?
Might be the wrong types of runs, most effective was a counter, the rest have seemed to be trying to go outside. Doesn't seem like that's CK'S strength. And Eli Kirk is a player

That had to be some kind of miscommunication. Coverdale is too smart for a call that bad

I’m really not being a , but if that really was the play call, it would be a fireable offense for someone with a lesser resume than Coverdale.
