Congratulations on your win against a D4 team you double in enrollment. You really actually created an account to post this garbage?

You gave up over 400 yards of offense and with a minute and a half left in the 3rd quarter, Lake scored to make it 41-38. You go on to say, ”Anyone that was there and wanting to be honest knows without the 8-10 bogus calls and numerous spotting of the ball, it would’ve been way worse.” Lake Catholic scored 38 points and it didn’t have anything to do with where the ball was spotted. Lake moved the ball up and down the field all night, just like Walsh did.

Walsh was the better team and there’s no questions about that, but the Warrior defense is God awful and they will be lucky to win 2 playoffs game this year.
FBLFAN is not a Walsh fan. Today is the first time he has posted about Walsh. His post even says “It was the worst officiating I’ve seen in 10 years in covering NEO sports.”

I retired from coaching football and wrestling after a 20 stint at Saint Ignatius, but I was asked to do some consulting at my alma mater Lake Catholic. So I've been around Lake's team most of the year including the Walsh game, it was good old fashioned football. The boys from Lake and Walsh embarked on a hard fought game with clean vicious plays. The good running back/linebacker/state champ wrestler from Walsh was not playing, so it could have been uglier. I spoke with number 26's father after the game (Chanel graduate) and I complemented how his son played with super intensity and killed us. As we move on, both teams can make a run in the playoffs if they play with that kind of intensity.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well Lake ran the ball in this one. Hopefully, this was due to improvement in the LC line and not just a poor defensive effort from Walsh. The Cougars look poised to compete for their regional title. Unfortunately for Walsh, they will have to play Hoban again.

What's fortunate, Walsh showed them absolutely nothing the first time! 🤣🤣🤣

I didn’t give up anything. The Walsh D looked terrible, and after talking to the coaches and players I understand they were without 3 LBs, so that makes more sense.
I came at the other post about sour grapes because I don’t get the animosity about the game. I saw no bad play and heard both fan bases yelling at the refs all night. But it was egregious how the penalties fell. Zero percent that LC scores over 28 without being aided by the calls. Say what you want - that’s what I saw.
As evidenced by this string, the LC fans have a little guy complex and blame enrollment on losses to better teams. It’s funny that it’s used as such a crutch. Yet I didn’t see anything after the win vs Kenston. Oh yeah, Walsh has 1000 students compared to the 950 at Kenston. Those extra 50 make a huge difference.
Play better and don’t make excuses. You gave up 600 yards for heaven’s sake.
Pray for snow when you play Glenville or they’ll hang another 70 on you.

I went to this thriller - what a game. Great effort and hard play for both teams.

I'm surprised by all the negative stuff on this string about it. The coaches are friendly and the programs are both traditionally good, so both sides need to chill out.

The one thing I'll agree with was the awful officials. Many of the calls were mind bending and yes, I'll agree with the ball placement. If Walsh were penalized like this consistently, I'd say it was them. But I've seen both teams play this year and neither is a dirty team and neither deserves that many penalties. It seemed like an agenda. That said, the boys on both sides kept their cool and it was a very good HS football game.

One more thing. I also went to see LC play Kenston and WJ play McDowell this year.

After watching them each play twice, I'd say they have two of the best QBs around and it was fun as heck watching the two of them battle on Friday. Frankie Trinetti for LC is more Pro Style while Keller Moten for WJ is a definite Dual Threat. I hadn't seen him run much before this game, but I'll tell you what, I thought that was a huge difference maker. His runs were crazy good.

When LC gets Trinetti on a roll out, he's money. He has great accuracy in a clean pocket and throws a firm ball with good spin. If pressured, he runs into some issues, but that's typical for most high school QBs.

Moten isn't the prototypical 6'2" QB, but he can sling it. Even undersized, I'd put his arm against any other QB. His back shoulder throws in the McDowell game were unbelievable for a young QB.

After the game I did some digging and saw Trinetti's dad is a LC coach, which makes a ton of sense. Moten trains with the well known QB guy, Brad Maendler. And we all should know by now that the Walsh HC is a damn good QB developer himself.

Extremely impressed with both of these Quarterbacks, especially after learning that they both played CYO ball and are both only JUNIORS! Love to see the CYO kids, since my kids were all CYO as well.

I can't wait to watch them both in the playoffs and next season!
