The entire project I think is around 10M in contrast to the 30M relocation of Mooney (2013 so who knows how much it would be today). The land is already acquired to the extent that we need. The only building remaining on that side of Ursuline is the auto body shop on Madison Ave, which if it hasn’t sold by now I can’t imagine it will in the near future. If my memory serves me right Cardinal Mooney couldn't relocate to Canfield several years ago because they didn't have the money "up front." I can't imagine that the major building project proposed at Ursuline would be any different, unless Bishop Bonner has a different policy going forward than Bishop Murry did. I know that the current bishop has said that Ursuline is the most solvent high school of the six in the Diocese of Youngstown.
IMO the approval of this scale of a project is kind of the writing on the wall for mooney. Unless there is a large influx of students this within the next 10 years I can’t see both schools remaining independent. I guess as long as they have money on the south side the doors will stay open.
