Scheffler improved on that double on Sat. at the Stark County Championships w/ a 4:56.69,10:25.79 double. Her 3200 time missed the Stark County record by about 1.25 seconds.

Scheffler with a 10:13.10 3200 last evening at the Lake vs Mass Jackson duel at Lake.
That is a new Stark County record, breaking the old mark of 10:24.57 set by Kalee Soehnlen at the 2017 Larry Cogan Warrior Invitational (Carrollton) (Soehnlen's mark is also the OHSAA D3 state record). I look forward to what Scheffler may do in the postseason.

Not only is this a Stark County record, it is THE RECORD for the fastest pure 3200m race only in Ohio girls' history! Congratulations to Daniella Scheffler for taking down Annie Heffernan's (Cincinnati St. Ursula Academy) 10:14.91 mark from 2013 State meet as the fastest 3200m performance.

Note: There are three (3) 2-Mile performances that are instrinsically better than the 10:13.10 mark; however, those did not have an official time for the 3200m split. Therefore, they are not considerable for record purposes. Also, Hannah Neczypor's (North Royalton) 10:11.72 mark from the Berea Relays in 2009 is not eligible as race officials started the girls on a 2-turn stagger instead of the 1-turn as they were supposed to do.
