At the recent Bob Polachek PC Invite @ Port Clinton HS, Sam Paeth took down a long-held OHSAA D3 record held by Newcomerstown's Jamie Lewis from 1995! The former mark was set at the Tuscarawas All-County Meet @ New Philadelphia HS on 8 May 1995. Lewis and Hunter Garretson (also, Newcomerstown) have better PBs of 16' 7" & 16' 6", respectively. However, both of those marks were set during the summers of 1995 & 2020, respectively.

Luke Schnieber (Cin. Country Day, So.) has now taken the Ohio D3 record away from Sam Paeth with Schnieber's 3rd attempt clearance at the Troy Region 12 meet yesterday. That also ups Schnieber's Ohio sophomore record of 16' 5" set at the Rod Russell Invite earlier this month. Paeth cleared 15' 8" at his regional @ Gibsonburg.

Schnieber is now in a 3-way tie for #16 on the Ohio all-time outdoor list.

This also ties the all-time non-OHSAA D3 record of 16' 7" set by Newcomerstown's Jamie Lewis from 30-years ago at Cedarville on 1 July 1995.
