The Teays Valley girl’s soccer team was back on the pitch on Thursday, making up Tuesday's game, and faced off against Newark. The Vikings unleashed a blistering attack, securing a 6-0 victory.
Ella Jacobs started the scoring at 36:38, finding the back of the net, and then Brooklyn Herbert netted two consecutive goals at 33:00 and 23:39. Mackenzie Robinette joined the party at 19:45, unleashing a powerful shot that ricocheted off the top post and into the goal. As the first half drew to a close, Allie Rice struck at 0:11, extending the Vikings' advantage to 5-0. Herbert sealed her hat trick early in the second half, cementing Teays Valley's win over Newark.
Teays Valley girls soccer's next game will be an OCC Buckeye division match against Pickerington Central; the Tigers will host the Vikings.
