Freezing rain here, on the classy side of Harrison.
I didn't think it was coming until 1:30 or 2. Really screwed myself, was supposed to grab some auto parts.

This. Really lame they blow everything out of proportion. We probably got a third of what was originally projected.
Granted the second half is starting later this evening but it may miss us entirely.

No complaints from me. They've been too right this year. On the plus side, my physical endurance in 10 degree weather has improved immensely. I'm a snow shoveling machine.

It's not over yet but it won't be as bad as they predicted. Calling it "Titan" is certainly an overstatement.

My son got me up around 4:30 this morning and right after I put him back down and got into bed, my neighbor fired up his snow blower. So I got to listen to that for about an hour while trying to fall asleep. I'm done with winter.

:laugh: I blame the weather, not him. His wife has to leave for work at 5:30 and there's no way she could have gotten out of their driveway without him clearing it first (it's sloped). Unfortunatley my understanding why he was doing it didn't help me get back to sleep.

I've been shoveling my driveway from 3-4 am when I get home from work. Only shoveling, no snow blower so I am pretty quiet. However the neighbor's dogs can hear me and start barking and have to be let out at 4am, but that is not my problem.

My neighbor was a shoveling machine, clean like he took a heater to his driveway. After a half inch snow, I once noticed his drive unshoveled and figured something dramatic had to have happened to him so I brushed off his drive.
I was right.
He can't shovel, shovel anymore but if I hear a snow blower crank up at 5am, I know my driveway or at the least my sidewalk is going to be clear before I can get outside to do it myself. I've got a good neighbor.
