Indians win
Not yet, Cubs lost and Marlins are winning. Both those teams play tomorrow so worst case scenario would be Reds 2 games behind both teams with 3 to play. Reds at Cardinals, Marlins at Pirates and Cubs at Brewer all this weekend. Best case would be the Cubs and Marlins lose tomorrow and Reds would be one game back with 3 to play. CrazySo that it?
Not much crushing after the 3rd inning. Reds bullpen again really good tonight. Reds offense went quiet.Indians have absolutely crushed Reds pitching so far in this series.
Who else you got?We were bringing up AA guys.Reds should have probably shut Abbott down a few weeks ago, I realize they had nobody else but the young man is obviously out of gas
They probably should’ve pitched Kennedy or Lively.Who else you got?We were bringing up AA guys.
"crippling their fan base"???? How? I swear you just regurgitate whatever nonsense you hear on talk radio and/or TV talk shows. What's the tag line, go woke, go broke. The Indians sold their soul to the MLB devil, crippling their fanbase. I've run into alot of fans who still call them the Indians and always will even young people. You call it Fox News, I call it reality. The Redskins in Washington are the same way.
Yep, not quite dead. FWIW, Marlins also have tiebreak on Cubs, as well as the easier opponents. They are the favorite at this point. So as it stands right now the Reds are 1 1/2 games back of both the Chubs and the Marlins. Chubs have one game left with the Braves, then three with Milwaukee. Miami has one game left with the Mets, then three with Pittsburgh. Reds go to St.Louis for final three this weekend. Reds hold tiebreaker over the Chubs, Marlins hold tiebreaker over the Redlegs. If the Chubs and Marlins lose their games today, it should make for one helluva interesting weekend......
........so you're saying "there's a chance".If two of these happen, the Reds are eliminated:
1. Arizona wins 1 of their last 4.
2. Miami wins 2 of their last 4.
3. Cubs win 3 of their last 4.
And those numbers go down by one for any Reds loss this weekend. In other words, Miami is the team to focus on, but it’s very close to over.
Did you not read my whole, postWho else you got?We were bringing up AA guys.
As the game when, I guess you could have switched to about anyone. The bullpen pitched very well last night. They probably should’ve pitched Kennedy or Lively.
If the Marlins win the suspended game, the Pirates would have to sweep them. They own a tiebreaker over the Reds.Reds need to sweep the Cards first of all and then two of these three has to happen:
Cubs lose 2 of three to Brewers
Arizona gets swept by Astros
Marlins lose 2 of three to Pirates assuming they win the suspended game. I could see the Cubs losing 2-3 to the Brewers and Arizona has the potential to lose all 3 to the Astros who are battling the Marlins for the last wild card spot
If the Marlins win the suspended game, the Pirates would have to sweep them. They own a tiebreaker over the Reds.
No more so than the other 76 losses. Those two games they blew last week cost the Reds big time
Toss Friday night’s game in there too, where the bullpen kept immediately tossing away leads. Wednesday, Friday and especially Saturday appear to have been the dagger. Those two games they blew last week cost the Reds big time
While that is true were the other 73 losses after blowing leads late? Or losing when up 9-0? You don’t have to be a dyck every dayNo more so than the other 76 losses.
It still counts as 1 loss. While that is true were the other 73 losses after blowing leads late? Or losing when up 9-0? You don’t have to be a dyck every day
Cool! I guess you do have to be a dyck every dayIt still counts as 1 loss.
If the Reds had gone 17-10 in August instead of 10-17 blowing that 9 run lead wouldn’t matter as much.
Nah, just tired of the stupidity that fans and teams run out every year that "it's early" and "it's a long season".Cool! I guess you do have to be a dyck every day
Nobody said they didn’t, you’re trying too hardNah, just tired of the stupidity that fans and teams run out every year that "it's early" and "it's a long season".
Every game matters.
Would the Reds be in this position if they had brought the young guys up sooner? Maybe they win 2 or 3 more games in May or April and make the playoffs.
LmaoNobody said they didn’t, you’re trying too hard
