Teays Valley Baseball Club 11U Sweeps the Weekend

"Stealing the Show"
From Viking Fields, the Teays Valley Baseball Club 11U team capped off their summer with a dominant weekend performance, sweeping four games against Naturals Baseball 11U, 11U Ohio Bison-Verhovec, Blennerhassett Bears 11U, and Ohio Sting 11U.
In their first game, Teays Valley Baseball Club 11U defeated Naturals Baseball 11U 11-3 on Saturday. The team scored three runs in the top of the second inning and extended their lead to 9-2 in the fourth inning. Byron Meenach started on the mound, pitching four and two-thirds innings and allowing three runs. Calvin Fry, Levi Coffey, and Sully Jones each had multiple hits, and Landon Butler drove in two runs.
In their second game of the day, Teays Valley Baseball Club 11U defeated 11U Ohio Bison-Verhovec 10-3. Calvin Fry had a strong game, collecting three hits in four at-bats. Bryson Hatcher drove in three runs, and Landon Butler added two RBI singles. Gavin Harber earned the win on the mound, pitching five innings and striking out six. The team's defense was solid, playing error-free, and with Byron Meenach making nine plays in the field.

On Sunday, Teays Valley BC defeated Blennerhassett Bears 11U 8-2. Kellan Gibson drove in four runs on one hit, including a grand slam in the fourth inning. Sully Jones earned the win for Teays Valley 11U, pitching three innings and allowing one hit and zero runs. The team drew eight walks and stole six bases, with Calvin Fry stealing four bases.
In their final game of the weekend, Teays Valley Baseball Club 11U defeated Ohio Sting 11U 10-6. Izaac Patterson drove in four runs on two hits, including a single that scored two runs in the second inning and a double that scored two runs in the fourth inning. Landon Butler earned the win in relief, and Calvin Fry pitched a scoreless inning in relief. The team drew six walks and stole seven bases.

Throughout the weekend, the team's offense was led by Fry, Patterson, Hatcher, and Butler. The team's pitching staff was also strong, with Gavin Harber, Byron Meenach, Landon Butler, Sully Jones, and Calvin Fry all contributing to the team's wins. The team's speed was also a key factor in their success, stealing a total of 37 bases over the four games.
The TV Baseball Club made the Championship game, but it was rained out in the top of the 1st inning with no score.

The TV 11U finished in the Gold Bracket Championship Game, going 4-0 on the weekend in a 20-team bracket. The 11U squad ended their season with a 31-6 record, having competed in seven championship games throughout the season's tournament run.
The 9U BC team finished as Semi-Finalists in the Gold Bracket, placing 4th in a competitive 6-team bracket. Meanwhile, the 10U team also finished as Semi-Finalists in the Gold Bracket, securing 5th place in a 6-team bracket. The 10U squad concluded their season with an 18-15-2 record.
