Back on September 2 some wise guy with the Yappi moniker Millenium Falcon couldn't resist posting this bit of sarcasm in the wake of his beloved Middletown Fenwick Falcons defeating defending D4 state champion Clinton Massie. Yes, the Clinton Massie team fell to Fenwick that weekend, 17-7, for their thrid straight loss to start the season. And they would go on to lose their next game to D2 St, Francis DeSales. But then they righted the ship, lost only one more game and qualified for the D4 playoffs.. As a No. 13 seed, Clinton Massie blanked previous 9-1 No. 4 seed Unioto, 38-0. Meanwhile, Millenium Falcon's Bishop Fenwick lads---a No. 3 seed, no less---fell to No. 14 seed Eaton, 31-28. So, while Clinton Massie will be continuing its football season this coming week against Urbana the Fenwick lads will be packing their football gear in mothballs. It has often been said paybacks are hell. But, Millenium Falcon, retribution is sweet.

If you don't engage them and give them the audience that they so desperately desire, they eventually will tire out of playing patty-cake with one another and will just go away..
