Will be an interesting season next year. I know Waynesville, Eaton, Brookville all lose a lot. Valley View will be favorites on the small school side and their is no reason to believe Bellbrook will be challenged on the big school side.

I think even Carlisle and Madison lose their Leading role Players

Valley View will have to replace some pieces on both their lines but otherwise return most of their skill players. If their young QB can step in and they can fill some spots on their line, they should have another banner year

Bellbrook is going to be interesting, but I think they'll reload and be fine...

Offense...QB Caswell is returning and after having a full season under center and full grasp of offense (didn't play his sophomore year) I think they'll throw it a little more with him, especially featuring Barrios. The running game will be same as always, Epiphano returns, hopefully fully recovered from knee injury sustained last week (no confirmation of the actual injury yet to my knowledge), but they have a freshman this year (Birchfield) that I think will get carries as a sophomore next season and he's dynamic...think he'll be better than Epiphano and may approach Seth Borondy type numbers when he's done. Three of five starting OL return, though loss of Omiatek at TE as he's been a contributor since freshman year.

Defense...They lose a lot more on defense than offense; safety McConnell, LBs Pettit, Valentie, Thobe (327 tackles between these three LBs this year), McConnell, Pettit and Valentie are two year starters. I think their full starting DL (Turner, Omiatek, Brown and Ozor), but as we've seen they always have guys waiting in the wings on defense. If anything the DB unit should be improved for the 2025 season.

Looks Like Carlisle is losing their Offensive production and Leading tackler for a couple of years. Looks like that with Madison as well Miller was a senior. Waynesville loses a lot as well. Not sure about what they have coming back. QB for carlisle but what is around him? not really sure Same for Madison

Carlisle returns #24, a solid RB/Slot but I think the rest of their skilled kids are gone. On defense they lose 3/4 of their secondary, 3/4 LBs and their best DL. That's hard to replace with a roster in the 30's.

Muncy is gone heard he told the team today. Hard to fault a guy for going back to his hometown and where he lives. Tough for Franklin as they’ve got to get a hire right and get it back on track.

Goodluck to them. The athletics there are a mess from what I am being told. This will be their 4th head coach in 5 years, hard to build anything with that type of turnover.

I wouldn’t say their athletics are a mess it’s really just football. Wrestling and boys basketball both won the big side of the league last year and have stable coaches, baseball coach has been there a while. Muncy was a great hire just always had the risk for him to go back to Miamisburg. Injuries killed them this year or they could have won another game or two, with the right hire they could have a winning season in 2025 and beyond.

Carlisle should be better in the 2nd year of the new regime right? Everyone says they are going in the right direction. I have no idea why they would stwp back next year. I think they should be at least 6-4 maybe 5-5.

Carlisle I believe will take a step back and be younger again. Their in coming Seniors have some talent but not what just left the program.

The culture in Carlisle is better, the problem is the talent coming back isn't as good as what left. I don't believe the current freshmen or either current jr. high team have won more than 2-3 games a year. They are in trouble for the next 5-6 years.

VV is probably in the best position for 2025 in the small school division. 2024 was their rebuilding year. They were pretty young, especially at QB. They won't lose a lot from a team that found a way to win the SWBL and win a playoff game.

Monroe returns 4/5 o-lineman and 4 d-lineman who saw significant playing time. At the skilled positions, they return 4 guys who saw substantial playing time at WR, 2/3 DB's, and 3 or 4 guys who saw a lot of time at LB. On the down side, they lose the majority of their offensive production at RB and QB and as of today, I don't really see anybody who replaces that production. That could change after the offseason but who really knows. I think they have a good foundation to improve, but they have to find a way to get better on offense and replace the two guys who carried what little offensive production they did have.

Franklin will be in the same position they have been in for the last few years. Muncy left to take the Miamisburg job
Franklin administration really shat the bed when they chased Childers out of town. He had a good program in place, numbers were up and they were winning more than they were losing. Though I am no fan of the Wildcats, I feel bad for their kids. Their high school experience has been hampered by the adults who make the decisions outside of their control. This is a prime example of the grass not always being greener on the other side.

Epifano tore his ACL, meniscus, and I believe some damage to the MCL. Out for 9 months, likely to miss first 3 games but also likely to be less just knowing him. Wapak (as it appeared to me) tackled awfully low at him, if you really get into the specifics of how he got hurt it looked suspicious, unfortunately I don’t have enough evidence nor would any officials care enough for something to be done, but whatever.

Smart move, should have never been happened in the first place.
I agree with you 100%.

This is an interesting hire for a few reasons.

1. I am kind of surprised Childers wanted to return after he was let go last time. That administration that fired him is gone now though.

2. I am surprised the current admin hired Childers knowing that he was the coach not so recently.

I think it is a great hire and says a lot about Childers as a coach, leader, and individual. He is loyal to the student-athletes at Franklin. I am not necessarily a Franklin fan, but I can get behind a guy like Childers and root for him to be successful.

That is true but this new staff is supposed to be the real deal who can increase the numbers from last year. They did pretty well last year with a ton of seniors.

Waynesville had a very talented senior class. I believe they lose 8-9 starters on defense and at least 8-9 on offense along with both their punter and place kicker. They bring back on offense 0 passing yards (starting QB will likely be a sophomore), a combined effort of 81 yards rushing, and a total of 0 receptions. They also loose anyone who returned kickoffs or punts for any yardage (according to the stats on the SWBL site). They do have a couple guys returning who did play defense (mostly d-line) and a few young guys that started at the end of the year due to injuries. This will be a tough year for the Spartans!!
