The big three:

Kelce vs Kelce ( even though one is retired)
Swift ad nauseam
refs favoring the Chiefs

What gets the most play? Oh, BTW, there is a game.

Kelce and Kelce will top story bc his brother will be covering him. Tay Tay will get some run leading up to it but will shoved down our throat during the game. The refs covering for KC depends if the barely win again. Inevitably race will be brought up a bunch do to the race of both QBs.

You hit the nail on the head with this statement.

I have good takes but they are few and far between.

I don’t watch talking head tv on anything, I listen to one true sports podcast and it is “pardon my take” so it’s not even a serious one. I just like watching football when it kicks off.

Tough choice who to root for. Not a Philly fan. Don't mind the Chiefs but this season is looking very tainted.

So do I root for:
The Eagles, even though I don't like the organization or fans but the players seem deserving this year
The Chiefs, I respect their organization but don't think things are quite on the up and up this year

I'm rooting for funny commercials.

Oh yeah, forgot about the Lakers. I knew the Oilers won 5 but I thought some were strung together
Back to the NFL, Green Bay won the last NFL 'Ship prior to the Super Bowl, so they would be the last NFL 3Peat sine the won SB I & II
Oilers got their cups in '84, '85, '87, '88, and '90. Montreal won in '86, and Calgary won in '89. Incidentally, the last Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup was Montreal in '93.

Seems like the buzz around the Super Bowl is down a little bit this year. Even the number of fundraisers selling Super Bowl squares seems to be down. Anyone else feel the same way?

NFL Referees Association executive director Scott Green released a blistering statement on Tuesday afternoon, decrying the loose talk of rigged games and claiming that it's "insulting and preposterous to hear conspiracy theories that somehow 17 officiating crews consisting of 138 officials are colluding to assist one team".

I have no distain for the KC Chiefs. The squalking about the officials and everything is simply sour grapes and typical whining that fans have vs. whoever is on top. Remember the Patriots? Deflategate, spygate. These narrative are created to keep the fringe fans interested. I'd hope anyone who's played sports at anywhere from a high school level or higher would appreciate greatness. As they say, it's hard to get there and harder to stay.

That said, I'm shocked the Chiefs are favored in this. I think the Eagles are a better overall team, better on both lines significantly and they can run the ball and pass. KC has had a great season, but alot of near misses and generally those things catch up with you. I think the Eagles win this game by not turning the ball over, and they'll be able to grind the clock out keeping Mahomes off the field. I think you'll see the Eagle O line be able to control the line of scrimmage and keep the Eagle offense popping. Also, I think the Eagle front 7 can cause some problems for Mahomes. I'll say Eagles 27, Kansas City 24

Deflategate and Spygate were both actually TRUE and have nothing to do with the refs calls favoring one team, i.e., the Patriots. in addition, don't forget the Tuck Rule/Fumble that the Pats needed as well. however, they cheated in both of those previous cases.

Much to do about nothing, and just fits the NFL narrative that there is something underhanded going on. By rule, the tuck rule/ fumble was called correctly or at least at the time called properly. There was an entire ESPN 30/30 on that. Once the arm comes forward, unless the ball is fully tucked to run, it's a passing motion. How about we just say the Patriots were really good and give them some credit?

Was race brought up when they met a couple of years ago?

Again the Chiefs 3-peat and will be the only team in pro football history to do so. Barkley has a bad birthday and Hurts can not win the game.

Trump being back as the President hopefully ends Jay Zs selection of the Super Bowl halftime show. The last few shows have been pure trash

Well, the matchup that everybody mostly assumed would happen after Philadelphia rolled Washington. I'm not saying if, but when the Chiefs and Mahomes win their 3rd straight is it going to be justifiable to say they are the best franchise? Is Mahomes going to be considered the best QB all time? How awkward will it be for Tom Brady to have to say Mahomes is better than he is? Was really hoping for a Bills-Washington matchup.
Tom is 2-0 vs Mahomes in the playoffs and Tom played against MUCH better QBs in his time. Mahomes is going to be looked at as Toms equal but he isn't and it's not all that close.
