Bob Podges, the most successful coach in Stow's history, has not been renewed. The CVCA coach is coming in.

Not surprising. The CVCA and the Extreme AAU program have close ties and several of the Stow assistant coaches are also involved with Extreme.

Stow moves on from two legends within months in Podges and Close.
Podges also coached for Xtreme for many years - so what do you mean by this exactly?

This has nothing to do with Extreme. This is another case of backroom deals, handshakes and lies. The Stow administration should be embarrassed the way they treated Podges. Just be honest with the man and admit you didn't want him back as coach instead of making the CVCA coach the fall guy in this.
You could not be more mistaken. First, I don't think any CVCA kids played for Xtreme this year and it's been 1 maybe 2 in the past. Second, none of the Stow assistant coaches coach for Xtreme either. Please stop trying to make issues like this and spreading 100% false information.

CVCA coach coming in and Stow Principal are friends. Families have vacationed together. CVCA coach (Andy Okeefe) teaches at Stow. Benefited greatly from a couple key transfers his first few years. Was somewhat disliked within the PAC because of his arrogance. Also after his first few years at CVCA was told to improve on this or else. Was never a huge fan of Podges because of his reluctance to be open to kids to be multi sports athletes but he is definitely not one of the problems within this athletic department. Would be nice if administrators kept out since none including Principal Murray have any idea on how to coach or build a program. We will see how OKeefe does with average talent in comparison to who he will face.
