Hey guys, with the state coming up this weekend, people have probably been thinking about it all day. Teams have been working for these weeks coming up since June. Everything else that happened in the season is worthless because this is what really counts. Format is easy, you win, you move on; you lose, and you play baseball. Of course, St. Ed's, University School and St. Ignatius are the favorites but who do you think will emerge from the other districts and possibly have a chance at state. Here are the brackets :)

Brooklyn (http://brackets.digitalschoolnetwork.net/bracket.aspx?not=21&t=500&ts=926)
Kent (http://brackets.digitalschoolnetwork.net/bracket.aspx?not=24&t=501&ts=927)
Columbus (http://brackets.digitalschoolnetwork.net/bracket.aspx?not=21&t=503&ts=974)

I've heard that Olentangy Liberty is the second best team in Columbus, and of course their fans say their the best. Is any of this true or is it all hype?

Coffman loses Saturday

Liberty is the number two team in Columbus, behind Coffman. It doesn't really matter because Moeller is going to beat them bad on saturday.

It looks like Olentangy Liberty gave Moeller all they could handle with just a 4-3 win.

Is it just me, or is it weird that there are 6-1/5-0 kinds of scores this late in the tournament?

It's too bad that Talawanda and Coffman are playing each other in the semis.

i think the moe/olentangy score should have been in the 5-1/6-0 range too. im kind of surprised that they arent more like that

Not me that's for sure. Both have similar styles of play (lots of swarming to the puck). I give the advantage to Coffman because of stellar defense and ability to break plays on offense enough to win.

Wow the Brooklyn bracket could play thier JV and make it to the state final this year with this stellar Columbus bracket matchup

But to be fair, they've gotten more competitive in recent years.
I don't think most people realize how recent it has been that anyone besides Upper Arlington has had a real high school hockey program in the Columbus area. Virtually no one else did until Columbus got the Blue Jackets. That's how new high school hockey really is in Columbus.

I'm not that old, and UA was the only school that had a team when I graduated from high school.
