State Champions

3 in a row for Richmond Heights and 2 in a row (3 in 4 years) for Lutheran East. Lutheran takes bragging rights as they beat Richmond Heights by 8 earlier in the year. The 2 schools are separated by about 4 miles.

I won't go to any more state tournaments because of what's going on. Anything above the District level is a joke. Besides they need to move the tournament to sites that can offer Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Attendance very low today from what it appears on TV. UD doesn't cut it but OHSAA probably is getting a sweet heart deal to play there. Prediction ALter and St Iggy win.

Every state champ is going to be a schools that “attracts” talent and/or has several transfers. Not complaining, it just is what it is. Very hard to win a state championship in basketball unless you “attract” talent.

Having the tourney on Sunday esp. Sunday morning was beyond stupid. UD arena itself is very nice.

Next year I hope in every division a winner comes from a private or a public that recruits. Fill more cups with tears.

RH was also not at full strength. Not sure LE beats them now with Barber back.

Richmond Heights and Lutheran East are state champs…..2 schools who do it right and should be very proud…just ask all of their followers ……..what a complete joke!!!!

Hey...those are two close knit teams full of kids who have playing together since grade school.

Can't wait for them to crush dreams of next year's "generation team" from Hucklebuck High in their respective divisions.

Hoping both do not elect to move up to Division 1. Which I doubt they will . . .

I propose 1 division for private, urban and suburban.

100 divisions for small rural so they can stop crying and enjoy a trophy.

That would end a lot of the crying. Then the OHSAA board will get what they want. Lots of cash and make all of the small rurals that majority of them come from happy.
