Well, I'm certainly not Jethro Gibbs or Jack Reacher. But I do like really strong java. Got the chest hairs to prove it, lol. Just not at the expense of flavor.

I used to think maybe my palate wasn't sophisticated enough for Starbucks. Turns out I'm not the only one who notices the burnt issue - see three different commentaries below. They all say it's for the same reason, which doesn't reflect well on Starbucks in terms of their quality. But SB's regular coffee certainly is consistent.

Eh. I respectfully disagree with his take. I’m guessing he’s never had Casi Cielo. :love: And as far as their espresso machines are concerned, you can calibrate and adjust grind, water flow, and compression to achieve a solo or doppio of your preference. His was likely bitter because he didn’t specify to said barista. That’s on him.;)

Yea for me SB is not the best coffee. Ill just drink just about any coffee. SB is for sure not my first choice. The best coffee ever was the Hawaiian Kona coffee I bought from the supermarket in Maui and brewed it every morning in a standard old coffee maker that was at the condo I was vacationing. I cant remember the brand I bought, but it was the best.
