Don't remember it last year, but shutout.com tracks the teams too and seems to have a more up-to-date and usable format.

They don't play Ignatius until late in season, but both schools are in Padua and Eagle tournaments and could meet there.

Yeah shutout.com has been around forever. If you really like high school hockey in Cleveland you can definitely waste a lot of time looking over standings, scores, etc. not only from this year but from previous years as well.

Eagles play US for the Eagle Classic Championship game today at 12:40. Ed's, US, and Ignatius all went 3-0 in the qualifying rounds, but Ed's and US had the greater goal differential. Those three teams appear to be tightly grouped at this point in the Cleveland area, and a cut above the rest. This will be the first time any of the three square off so far in the season. St. Francis holds decisive wins against all three, and may be in a class of their own this year.

Having a hard time getting my mind around this...could Ignatius and Ed's have played the same Gilmour team on back to back nights this weekend (as the schedule indicates)..Ignatius winning 10-0 on Friday (mercy rule after two periods) and Ed's losing 2-1 in OT on Saturday.

Same Gilmour team?

Ed's outshot Gilmour an incredible 50-14, but could not find the back of the net. Great performance by their goalie aside, that is pretty fluky.

Ignatius tops Ed's 3-0 this afternoon.

I would rank the state as follows:

1) Toledo St. Francis

2) Ignatius

3) University School
4) St. Ed's
5-10) the rest of Ohio

It appears that maybe Toledo St. Francis isn't as dominant late in the season as they were earlier. Over this weekend, they lost to Sylvania Northview and to Bowling Green. Or maybe it's the case that northwest Ohio is playing better hockey this year than NEO.

You would expect that Ignatius will be the #1 ranked team in the next state-wide rankings.

Not sure whose vote this is (AP?), but St. Francis and Ignatius are now 1 and 1A in the state poll (from Eddie Dwyer)...

1. Toledo St. Francis 85 (5)
2. Saint Ignatius 85 (4)
3. University School 69
4. St. Edward 61
5. Toledo St. John's Jesuit 41
6. Bowling Green 38
7. Findlay 36
8. Dublin Jerome 25
9. Columbus St. Charles 20
10. Olentangy Orange 19

Others receiving votes: Sylvania Northview, Upper Arlington, Rocky River and Holy Name.

Ignatius finishes its regular season at 26-3-3 with a 5-2 victory over St. Ed's this afternoon. Yesterday Ignatius topped the other state-worthy team in the Cleveland area, University School, 5-1. Ignatius now has a 14 game winning streak going into the post-season. And I believe two of the Ignatius losses came to out-of-state schools, with the only Ohio loss coming in a 7-1 thumping by Toledo St. Francis.

I wouldn't worry about it too much who will play in the state final. NWO plays either Kent or Brooklyn in the final four and the other of Kent and Brooklyn gets the guys who don't know hockey

Eagles lose 5-1 to US in the second round of the Cleveland Cup as the Preppers will advance to take on Ignatius. Don't appear to be playing very good hockey heading into the state tournament.

St. Ed's rolls River 11-1. The game was stopped with 2 minutes left in the third period.

Eagles take on the Wildcats Saturday for a trip to the final 4.

Great win. Eaglefan you're correct, always nice beating the Cats. The lack of self control by the Cats, surprised me. The Eagles got into the heads of the Cats.

Well fought season and they advanced to the opportunity to compete for a title... congrats. Good luck in the 2015-2016 season.
