Does anyone have information on Ed's and Walsh Jesuit possibly discussing a matchup?
Thank you!I was told no chance

I hope UMass can find their footing in the FBS and the MAC because they seemingly love Eds kids. Costal Carolina does too and it's obvious Charlotte has taken notice.Updated offer lists from the 2026 class:

I'm happy to see an Ohio U offer on there for Brandon White and would love it if he ends up there but I think another good year, hopefully without injury, will see some bigger schools in there quickly. I've always been puzzled at their lack of recruiting up here dating back to the Solich days. I always thought he would've loved Eds kids that played a tough brand of football, but were maybe a little too undersized to play at a bigger school.

Looks like he's competing with the Ginn Elite 7on7 right now. Could be wearing black and red next season.Saffold doesn’t have any offers?
They went down to Miami (lucky them!) my son told me Saffold was really good or in his words “he’s nice”.”. And if I have a vote I’d vote yes, lol.Looks like he's competing with the Ginn Elite 7on7 right now. Could be wearing black and red next season.

Last night OSU wins the natty and today the mailman delivers great news. Will be.
Have to assume he had friends to convince him to come play. Hope it doesn’t turn into the last player that left Ed’s for Glenville then found out he wouldn’t start and came back to Ed’s. Eds received a lot of hate from OmarLast night OSU wins the natty and today the mailman delivers great news.![]()
My son was a Fr and wasn’t driving yet so I was at every practice and 7v7 while Mason was there, his attitude and effort were poor. The last straw was at a local 7v7 when he ran a lazy route and dropped a pass and he wouldn’t accept coaching right after the rep. After the event Ginn, Sr. was talking to him and he wasn’t looking coach in the eye and basically walked away, I knew it was over atbthat moment. Maybe you’re right but him not starting had nothing to do with talent, he’s a really good player and had some nice plays at Akron as a true Freshman. From what I’ve heard about Saffold he’ll be just fine if he transfers. But you know as well as I do, we’re in the midst of rumor season.Ha

Good kid. Hard worker. Question will be if he'll meet any exceptions to play a full season after transfer. I imagine his father (a judge from a prominent Cleveland family) will be doing their due diligence and, perhaps, exerting a little pressure. My son was a Fr and wasn’t driving yet so I was at every practice and 7v7 while Mason was there, his attitude and effort were poor. I’ve heard both things about the kid and I’ve seen with my own eyes he’s fast. Kinda surprised he wasn’t featured more in the offense, Hackleman is a stud for sure but if I were an OC I’d try to incorporate both. But I’m not an OC so there’s that, lol.Good kid. Hard worker. I'm sure the perception (at least by the Saffold family) is that he wasn't being featured enough, but the reality is that there was a more superior receiver on the roster and a QB who had a tendency to get locked in on his #1. Once Hackleman went down Saffold was the dude and had a very productive post-season, nearly catching up to Zach in terms of catches and yards. The other reality is that the Lombardo offense is, and always will be, centered around the run game.I’ve heard both things about the kid and I’ve seen with my own eyes he’s fast. I don’t know they’re thinking but you make a good point. Not sure Hackleman is more superior, but he is taller and more productive (due to opportunities). Both are studs and will make an impact next season and at the next level. I’m a believer in needing several pass catchers combined with a solid run game. Like I said, it’s rumor season and who knows what will happen. How do you keep several pass catchers and a productive running game in place? Sure, that sounds good when you type it, but the reality is that their is only one football to go around 3-6 playmakers. I’m sure you have heard this with basketball. Same analogy.I don’t know they’re thinking but you make a good point. Mentor is an example, Farley, Hodge, and Van Huss. Massillon is another example. But I get your overall point and I agree to an extent. How do you keep several pass catchers and a productive running game in place? You also have to make the most from your opportunities or get passed up by other options. Can’t be a I want the ball type of player, if you can’t get YAC and make game changing plays. Should be interesting to see how this one plays out and by no means am I proposing this is the case. Just a common theme across all levels of play.

Still not clear examples to me. You’re just naming high level passing teams with Mentor and Massillon. Still takes a lot more balls to spread out.My son was a Fr and wasn’t driving yet so I was at every practice and 7v7 while Mason was there, his attitude and effort were poor. Both teams had a RB run for 1,200+ yards and two WRs that had 700+ receiving yards. So in addition to just “naming high level passing teams” I also provided proven data points but I’m sure that’s still not clear to you. And it always comes down to making plays. At some point, it comes down to making plays. If you’re open and not getting the ball, then it would show up on film and then it’s on the coaches to correct the play calling. I don’t think you are seeing it but I know you know every kid age 16 and under in Cleveland and are the resident HSFB guru here so I’ll bow out!![]()
Remind us what mentor has ever won again?Mentor is an example, Farley, Hodge, and Van Huss. Massillon is another example. But I get your overall point and I agree to an extent.
No need but this is a very cool way for you to remind us that Ed’s has 6 state titles, congrats and I hope you win another one in 2025. That said Mentor is a great example of an offense having multiple WRs that produce along with a productive RB. Why is that triggering to you and the other Ed’s guy? It’s a literal and statistical fact.Remind us what mentor has ever won again?

And I’ll be the last to know football like others. I can’t call out plays and names but I enjoy chatting with fellow fans!
