Davison throw out their jr high team or what? 🤔
Missing 5 state placers via Josh Lowe Twitter

St. Edward 76-0 over Davison who was missing five SP. Ryan Bennett (138) 2-1 over Gates on a late TD, and Lukan O'Brien (144) pinned Jelinek.

Butler drops a 2-1 dec against Kluce. He was teched by Blaze at Brecksville, was probably a toss up match but that shows even more seperation with Blzae and the field.

Sanderfer teched by PSU recruit Davis.

Kade Brown with a nice win over a returning Michigan state champ.

Look like from Twitter Eagles beat Lowell 61-3.
DCC match started at 4:30.
Timar at 106 beats Lees 14-7.

Davison throw out their jr high team or what? 🤔
Pretty much, no nationally ranked Barr, Horwath, and Cotton. No state finalist Herriman or state 6th Callahan. Multiple starters make a lower weight that they hadn’t before during a meaningless midweek dual to make their lineup better. But then they don’t go that weight today. Nothing about Davison made much sense today. Not that they would’ve come close to beating St Ed’s, way to many holes in their lineup, but a shame we didn’t get to see Barr vs Miller or Cotton vs Slaper etc

Sanderfer had himself some competition today, 4 matches 3 of which were against national ranked kids. Gets teched by Davis of Dundee, loses to Heethius of DCC 3-0, and beats Blum of Lowell 1-0 via 3rd period ride out. And would have faced national top 10 Horwath in the 4th match if he wasn’t out. Great win against Blum.

The Super Duals were on Track. I thought DCC was streaming it on one of their platforms, though I have no idea if that actually happened.

As noted, St. Edward 76-0 (14-0) over Davison. Davison did not weigh-in five of their seven returning state placers, and forfeited 106/113 (which they kind of normally do). In that round, Lowell took 10/14 against a solid Center Grove IN team, though CG had their starting 215 miss weight by two pounds (the weigh in Indiana is 220) and their returning state medalist starter at 144 remained out of the lineup.

St. Edward took 11/14 against Dundee. Dundee has the four super weak spots in the back. In the competitive matches: Timar beat Nutt 7-5 (Nutt placed at Brecksville); Brown pinned Broderick in the second though Broderick got the match's opening takedown; Kluce over Butler due to at third period reversal after a second period rideout; Davis teched Sanderfer; Kade Brown turned it on in the third to major Cam Chinavere; two second period takedowns gave Ryan Bennett a 5-1 victory over Kaden Chinavere; Lukan O'Brien withstood a third period onslaught to beat Cosby 12-9 (the freshman Cosby placed at 138 at Brecksville); Aidan Davis mostly dominated in a pin over Eaton; Peterson pinned Katschor late in a competitive match; and Ty Miller overcame a 5-0 deficit off the bat to beat Fenbert 10-8. During that same round, DCC won 11 bouts against Lowell in a 44-11 victory, including four consuecutive matches by two points or less during the first half of the dual.

St. Edward went 13-1 against Lowell, the lone loss was at 144 where C.J. Poole got a late takedown to outlast Lukan O'Brien. Of note, Karson Brown obliterated Cichocki at 113, Sanderfer upset Blum 1-0 at 126 (that type of form could get him a state title in what is a wide open weight/I'll take the heat on my mid-week observation there), Bennett with a solid 4-0 win over Segorski (first period TD, second period reversal), Eaton did enough to beat Simcoe 6-5, Peterson dominated 2x MI state placer Miller, Ty Miller decisive over MI state placer Boone, and Slaper scored his six in the second period to beat a 2x MI state placer. That same round saw DCC beat Center Grove 48-20 (9-5 matches). Blum weighed in at 126 today with Lyons weighing in at 120 (they had flip flopped at Brecksville).

Last round of the day was Dundee 41-30 Center Grove (8-6 matches) and the Eds/DCC match. DCC was absent a state medalist at 138, though that wasn't going to change the win/loss against Bennett. The Butler/Dominguez match was closer than I would have expected, especially given Dominguez beat Cichocki in ultimate. Lukan O'Brien wrestled well to hold Clayton Jones to a 2-1 victory. Eaton got two takedowns against Gilcher but lost 7-4 (probably should have been 9-4 but there was a near fall missed early in the third). Cam Adams got a cradle to he back to pin Ty Miller, similar to how Miller was down early against Fenbert, though this move was more secure for Adams and got a pin. The loss by fall for J.R. Miller was a total aberration, as Bunn hit his home run move (it's the one that he almost pinned Evan Bennett with last year) trailing 4-0 early in the second and secured the fall.

Any chance Delsanter returns this season? And will Michael Kilbane return?
