southwest district this year

I think the 50, 200 free, and 100 back are going to be abnormally fast at the state meet next year.

I think the 500 could be a very interesting race this year if Grant House swims it. Last year, Kevin George was the only person who finished in the top 8 that wasn't a senior and i think he is the clear favorite to win, unless House swims it. Throw in the fact that they've been training together at that point and i think we could see a time around 4:25 or 4:26. I also think the 200 IM is going to be interesting at the state level between Hodge and Palazzo, possibly in the 1:47 range for both? any comments?

Agree completely guys! In particular, I think the 200 free and 500 free are going to be frighteningly competitive this year.

I just heard the news that Talawanda has switched divisions from 1 to 2. This is big news in my opinion. Talawanda potentially had the talent to sneak into the top 5 at D1's district, but now that they are in D2, and with Patrcick Mulcare leaving Oakwood, I think it is very possible they can give oakwood a run for their money in D2. Any thoughts?

LOL... I'm surprised the state of Ohio isn't getting hate mail from the top swimmers in Oregon... first we send them Tommy Brewer and now Patrick Mulcare... good grief!

I would guess Grant House would swim the 100 and 200 at State, but could be a factor if he chose to swim the 500... or the 50.... or Fly... he is a beast!

I agree. The talent that Grant House has is unbelievable and what he is able to do in practice is even more amazing. He could win state in all of those events. His best bet would be the 200 and 500 in my opinion. The 200 is going to be a fun race regardless if House swims it or not, but considering it is his best event I suspect X will put him in that. The 500 will be a bit of a challenge for him, Kevin George, in my opinion, is the favorite to win the 500, but Grant could challenge him that event. I come from a unique perspective as I am able to train with him everyday and I'm telling you he is the real deal.
