South Range at Poland week 5

SR faced 3rd and 9, calls a throwback screen, beautifully defended, but Skripac scrambles for 1st. They proceed to pass/run straight down field.

21-7, 23 seconds in half

SR had the ball 4 times, scored 3 TDS. The only time they were stopped they got to Poland 25 but lost 10 on snap issues.

Poland had the ball 3 times. Got stopped once on a penalty (that took a TD off the board); one 3 and out; one long TD drive.

Poland to receive. They obviously need to score. SR is having issues with Fulton and he probably needs to run another 15 QB leads.

Defensively, things really need to change.

Last week they dominated first half and lost it. Maybe they can flip that script on SR

I’m really surprised at how fast SR plays on defense. They definitely can get pushed around a bit, but they also have capability of creating negative play. And every time Fulton passes he’s under pressure.

Poland can’t play behind the sticks, so a negative play may be all they need for a stop.

Basic halftime stats:

Passing: SR 92 -- Poland 8
Rushing: SR 147 -- Poland 92

Total 239 -- 100

SR had one more possession

Poland starts off with 3 straight QB runs for 12 yards. He then scrambles for 25. He then loses 4 and we have a TO.

Another QB lead loses a few. Fulton had to come out for 1 play — only play he hasn’t run it other than a pass

SR goes right down the field using multiple players. They’re easily getting the edge.

28-14 with 419 in 3rd

I didn’t appreciate how diverse they are on offense. This is a good team.

Poland needs to score again. How much more can Fulton do?

The onside kick is obviously the play of the game. And Fulton scrambling on 4th and 5. Poland has needed everything to go their way in 2nd half. And here we are.

Fake QB lead with Dominguez as lead, who then slips behind secondary for easy pitch and catch TD.

35-28 with 6 to play
