Yes, this is Prospect High School's famed high jumper, C. Warren Anson, 3-time Ohio Class B high jump champion, winning the 1924 meet with a Class B & then Ohio Interscholastic Record of 6' 3 ¼". That Ohio record stood till 1932 when Jesse Owen's East Tech and 1936 Olympic silver medalist, Dave Albritton, jumped 6' 3 ¾". Anson's Class B record stood as the Class B state meet record till 1961 when Ottawa Hills John Gehring broke it with his 6' 3 ¾" win.
Anson's mark was almost beaten in 1943 by Cincinnati Plainville's Bill Bachman, Jr. with his 6' 3 ⅛" win at the '43 Class B state meet.
Anson was also a very good broad jumper having at least a 22' 8" effort in HS and near 24 foot as a collegian. I haven't done a deep dive into his stats yet, but he's on my list of featured athletes if I ever get around to doing a book.
