The Lady Comets continue their outstanding season so far with a home blowout of Warren Harding last Monday night. They are now ranked # 10 in the state, (Div. 1) by Max preps. Their record is 12-2, with only loss's to defending state champion Twinsburg, and Div.2 standout Manchester. The Comets host Twinsburg, Feb. 4rth, 7:30 P.M.

The Lady Comets have wins over Green, Hudson, Mayfield, Strongsville, Warren Howland, Avon Lake, Mentor, Stow, Magnificat, Gahanna Lincoln @ Pick Central tournament, Lakewood, and Warren Harding.

Games coming up are @ Strongsville, home vs. St. Vincent St. Mary, home vs. Twinsburg, @ Hudson, @ Mentor, and home vs. Stow. Then on to sectional.

Same old same old, except they beat Kenston to win the Bedford District last Saturday, then Beat Mentor last night @ Canton Memorial in the regional semi-finals. Both wins without Martha Thompson.

Friday they go up against two time, back-to-back state champions, Twinsburg Tigers, @ Canton for the Regional Final , and the winner goes to Columbus for the Final four.

Oh their is no quit in these Lady Comets. :cool:

February 2014 Solon Lady Comets

Here we are again, asking for student support for your 2013-2014 Lady Comets basketball team, ranked 2nd in the Plain Dealer poll and just beat #1 Wadsworth out there in front of a massive crowd, student section, somewhat obnoxious boys section, and pep band. Solon isn't ranked in the AP Ohio Poll, but Wadsworth is, #1. Up to last night anyway. Perrysburg is, 7 and we beat them, Kettering Fairmount is, they are the defending state champion, and we nearly, so nearly, beat them in regulation, in a game we narrowly lost in overtime. We beat Stow twice, but they are ranked 11th, but we aren't ranked at all. We are in some other polls, but this cry's out for the girls classmates no matter what grade,to come out next Wednesday night, on senior night and put on a show like we saw at Wadsworth last night.

And just a message to the athletic department, please help make this happen. We could use that band. :thumb:
 
No band, but the football team, both sides open, and many students came. Much love and support for your Lady Comets. Thanks to all. Sectional starts vs. Aurora Saturday.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, Solon won the game. :cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:
