And the future was indeed bright.
DeSales Stallions pulled off the double this past weekend.
Girls won their 3rd Lacrosse State Championship and the schools 38th overall Team State Championship
Boys win their 4th Lacrosse State Championship the next day and the schools 39th overall Team State Championship
Ironically the real State Championship games for both came in the Regional Finals where the Girls defeated #2 Bishop Watterson in Ot by a goal and the Boys Defeated #1 Ranked Bishop Watterson in of course OT by one goal.
The CCL was by far the toughest D2 Lacrosse League in the State this past year in both Boys and Girls with #5 St Charles joining DeSales and Watterson in the top 5 ranking for boys.
