For the first time in over 20 years the graduating class did not have at least 1 Division 1 scholarship player

Kreimer and Kiessling both had D1 offers but chose Holy Cross over MAC type schools. I think it was a smart move as they get excellent academics and a real shot at playing time as frosh

Fair point.
Should have said first time in over 20 years StX did not have any D1 signees.

Holy Cross is D1...

It is probably more clear to use the terms FBS (D1) and FCS (D1AA). Holy Cross is an FCS school which used to be referred to as D1AA. I guess technically D1 but not what most people consider when referring to DI.

Nonetheless they play a very competitive brand of football coupled with great academics.

Saw that Class of 2020 TE/WR Marshall Lang recently committed to Northwestern. Congrats to him!

I heard he committed on the spot, which is understandable. A program that has been very competitive in the Big Ten, coupled with outstanding academics, unbelievable facilities and a beautiful campus. I am sure it is a relief having made this decision before the season starts. Best of luck to Marshall next year, I am sure he will have a great season.

Liam Clifford has added THE Pennsylvania State University to his list.
Rumor has it that TJ O'Malley has heard from Bucknell and Fordham in addition to those listed.
Hope that Noah Taylor is on the verge of a few offers...

Liam Clifford commits to Penn State! Congrats to him and his family. Would be cool to see him get on the field with Sean.

TJ O'Malley also has offers from Fordham, Bucknell, University of San Diego. Hear that he is considering some of the Ivy's.
Matt Rueve also has an offer from Western Kentucky
Haven't seen anything come in for Noah Taylor yet.

It is impressive that Rueve has picked up D1 offers at this late stage. Usually its tough to secure D1 offers this late in the process. Im glad to see schools have taken his senior yr performance into account.

I find this process interesting as kids have to weigh scholarship vs non scholarship (i.e San Diego vs Fordham/Bucknell), quality of the school, and the odds of earning playing time. The other consideration is how badly does a kid want to continue playing football. Its both flattering and exciting to get the offers but it comes at a sacrifice, especially when there is no scholarship money.

Best of luck to all of the Bombers as they evaluate their options and make this important decision

I had heard N.Taylor strongly considering Cornell.

Also heard Ivy and Patriot League interest for Newman. Kids told he was at one of those a few weeks ago.

Probably not many players in the Class of 2021 will be playing in college

Class of 2021

WR Liam Clifford Penn State commit

NG Gio Albanese

LB Matt Devine

Class of 2021 DL Gio Albanese recieved an offer from Central Michigan University. Congrats to Gio, first of many to come!

Class of 2020 QB Mathew Rueve commits to Boston College. Congrats Matthew!!
Congratulations Matthew, that is quite an accomplishment. Its hard to believe that given his success this past season and ability to earn a Power 5 offer that he wasn't selected the starter his junior year. He clearly turned out to be a much better QB then the previous year's starter.
