Sad in terms that kids don't play for their "home" school like it used to be. Kids used to have a lot of pride in their communities and wanted to represent their hometown school. This is not all kids obviously, a lot of kids still have pride in their hometown.
I knew what you meant. I just don’t think it’s sad that families are making the decision that they deem best.

And I respect that. Times are definitely changing and as an "old head" I just need to understand that change isn't always bad.

Back in the day... college did not cost this much either. Today there is so much riding on these decisions financially. I am sure there are a few overzealous parents/students that do not handle it properly but a few bad apples don't spoil the bunch.

I like to think I am a loyal type person to my community (levies, volunteer, support) but if I thought MY kid could enhance his future at another school (be it academic the arts or ANY special talent not just sports) then shame on me not to consider it.

Sadly, I think this thread is appropriate for this site at this time. In the past, many would have considered it in poor taste. But we have reached a point where transferring is common and widely accepted. Knowing where an impact player is going to go to school the next year is in the public interest.

With that said, we should just use this thread as a service to discuss where an athlete is going to play and not make judgements (positive or negative) about the parents' decision.

Here was the initial inspiration for the thread, its not a way of condoning actions nor supporting actions, its simply a resource to viewers of the sport. I was confused when I saw some players under a new school this season, just wanted to try and make a community resource!

Basketball Transfer List I wouldn't rank them, but this was something insightful for me (personally), just was trying to get something for the 2025 season. Also should be a note, there are 3x the amount of football players on a roster over basketball rosters so this list would be harder to fully complete.

Hard to make long lasting friendships when you keep moving schools but times are different now and kids prefer to stay in touch through social media. Although, that’s not the right answer either. To each is their own.

Can’t wait for people to come back here to reload on ammo before trash talking teams for new kids coming to their schools
This thread is drama waiting to happen
