Rodgers looked very rusty though. I know teams don't want to risk injury but when will they learn to at least give the starters some reps in week 17?
He definitely needed to play in week 17. But he ran his arse off bailing them out from coverage sacks. Played ballsy even when he didn't have a good day.

Oh, I agree but he was missing on passes that would normally be automatic.

You'd think after Peyton Manning's numerous fails that sitting starters in week 17, especially if you have a 1st round bye, is a recipe for failure.

Wow, the adulation for Rogers here is almost Tebowesque!

BTW, what ever happened to the “team” concept? So if not for Rogers yesterday Green Bay looses by 45 points! Ohhhhhkay.

As far as Rogers several rushes for 1st downs, my sense is the Giants considered those defensive victories. I’d much rather have this guy running for 10 yards then throwing for TD’s.

Green Bay’s strength was its offense and more specifically its passing attack. Yesterday, Rogers averaged less then 6 yards per attempt, lost a fumble and threw an INT. Sure they dropped some passes but he also missed some wide open receivers. BTW, the Giants dropped a couple of INT’s so I guess it all evens out.

One thing for sure, Green Bay’s loss shows just how tough it is to repeat as Super Bowl champs in the NFL. Add in Pittsburgh’s first round playoff loss and its tough as nails just to get back to a Super Bowl. Makes the Bills going to FOUR straight SB's a team record that will never be matched let alone broken.

Agreed BR. There were some throws where he missed completely wide open guys in key situations. Definitely one of his worst games of the year and unfortunately it came at the wrong time.

His numbers were still pretty good for having a "bad" game. The Giants were the best 9-7 team in the league though, and it sucks that the NFL's best team had to face them so early.

No doubt, he missed two open receivers. But he also made some great passes that were blatantly dropped by his receivers. Dude got no help

There was a pass to Donald Driver in the 3rd quarter that I thought was one of the greatest throws ever. It was like 20 yards down the field and thrown into a window that couldn't have been much larger than the football. But then later on 3rd down he missed a WR (can't remember who) badly who had absolutely no one in the vicinity of him.

And some of the dumb#sses on one of the Browns boards are trying to compare him to Colt McCoy. 'See...when Rodgers has no protection and his receivers are dropping the ball he looks no better than Colt McCoy!"

Rodgers threw for 264 yards last night having a "subpar" game. Last night, with that offense, McCoy would be lucky to throw for 125 yards. Stupid homer nuthuggers....Browns fans are so used to seeing sh#t at QB that they wouldn't recognize "elite" if it smacked them in the face.

Beautiful throw on that one to Driver.

 Rodgers and McCoy never belong in the same sentence.

No kidding. Now you see the sh#t I have to deal with as a Browns fan. Browns fans fall in love with a QB because he's "tough", a "gamer" and has "moxy." Never mind "talent." We don't need no stinking talent.

I constantly get the "well Joe Montana/Dan Marino/Peyton Manning, etc had worse numbers in their first 21 starts than Colt!" Really? You're REALLY gonna go there? Those guys could also throw a football through a held up piece of paper from three yards away while McCoy can't.
