The 4 district players are back:
Zach Mueck Lakota East- State Runner up (33-3)
Freddy Abunku Lakota East District qualifier (26-1)
Adam Reinhart Sycamore State qualifier (24-8)
Miguel Cepeda Mason District Qualifier (19-12)??

Possible Contenders are:
Martin Burbank Lakota West (unless plays doubles with Aaron Madaris) (16-9)
Ian Striker Loveland (unless plays doubles with Austin Stahl) (11-4)
Conner Nagel Princeton (unless plays doubles with Princeton #2) (??)
Darrell Sawyer Winton Woods (15-6)

any others??

My bets are on Mueck to take state this year. He won every match at state in straight sets until the loss to Metka.

Abunku will kill it again. Having both Mueck and Abunku playing 1 and 2 is just ridiculous. Abunku had at least SIXTEEN wins with scores of 6-1 6-0 or better. Just ridiculous.

Reinhart may really step it up this year. After his big district upset of Bandy, I think he will come back this year a good bit better than last year. A lot of potential.

Cepeda was a state qualifier and his record was 20-6 is something similar. Tough tought player. Beat Mueck the first time they met but I heard Mueck was playing with someone else's racket after he popped a string.

Nagal will be solid, but I think once they hit the postseason he will bow out early. Darrel can play ball, but is Winton woods GMC? Won't have much of a run in the GMC tourny if so. Solid player though. Burbank is good but loses his head. That will kill him fast against better players. He's pretty negligable.

Winton Woods is in FAVC West so no tough matches will hurt him in the long run I think and you pretty much have everything right here. but the real question is who is going to win the GMC as a team because you can say Lakota East, Lakota West, Sycamore, or Mason.

Lakota East has pretty much everything coming back except the older Abunku and Witzman. They played 1st dubs most of the time and didn't show to well all season. East has some solid players on JV like Nate Turner and Mitch Clark who could step up to second dubs and move Noufer and Fraley to 1st. East will probably have a few more losses this year than last.

What does Sycamore have coming back? I know they have Reinhart but I don't know about them. Mason and West will be good contenders to. Mason is just a thick team that could take East at 3rd sings and both dubs teams. West has everyone coming back with a stellar first dubs team and solid singles play when they don't get frustrated. lol.

This year will be incredibly interesting. All the matches will be a good bit closer.
