Pick Central rallied from behind early and late. Down by as many as 8 pts in the first half, the Tigers rallied to close to within one point at the half. The Tigers dominated play in the 3rd Qtr but continually missed layups and close in shots so they never led by more than 7. Magnificat then came storming back to take the lead in the 4th and appeared to be in great shape - up by 3 with less than a minute to play. Down 2 w/ the ball 94' from the basket and only 8.6 seconds on the clock, PC guard Kennady Gordon took the ball coast to coast to convert a game-tying layup with 2.5 seconds, and sent the game into OT. PC controlled the OT, converting clutch free throws down the stretch. It was redemption time for Gordon... Up to that point she'd had a miserable game. Great players though come through at clutch time, and she did just that!! Magnificat and PC are outstanding teams, but today's game was definitely NOT a thing of beauty. Foul trouble (so many touch calls on both teams...ugh!) and crazy turnovers. PC now has to wait another week... Bad job OHSAA!!!!!!!!!
