Hulk Hogan has co-founded the beer brand Real American Beer, set to distribute in locations across 17 states this summer. He will be in Stark County next week to promote the beer.

JACKSON TWP. − WWE Hall of Fame wrestler Hulk Hogan will visit Giant Eagle on The Strip to meet fans Tuesday while promoting the release of his Real American Beer in Ohio.
The retired professional wrestler, whose real name is Terry Bollea, will sign 12-packs of the beer and sell his beer-branded T-shirts for $24.99 and hats for $29.99. The event starts at 2 p.m. and is scheduled to last 90 minutes at 6493 Strip Ave. NW.
"Real American" is a nod to his wrestling theme song "Real American" by Rick Derringer.

Hogan launched his brand of light lager, made with all North American ingredients, in June. It's 4.2% alcohol by volume.
"We’ve formed an all-star team to make it happen, and I'm excited to introduce Real American Beer to fans and beer lovers everywhere," Hogan said in a prepared statement in June.
He also will be stopping next week at Giant Eagle stores in Strongsville and Columbus. He will be signing only the 12-packs, which range in price from $15 to $20, according to online retail listings.

How did the scrimmages of PACtion™ fair?
Here's what I saw at Manchester tonight:
1. The Panthers won 21-7 over Rootstown with about 2.5 quarters of regular game clock timing with game-like conditions (no kick returns, pass plays called dead when a QB is touched in the pocket). The JVs played after that, I didn't hang around for that.

2. I couldn't tell you what the expectation is for Rootstown this year. They were 9-2 last year in Div 6. They are light on numbers, looked like about 30 kids total.

3. Manchester controlled the ground game, Rootstown looked slightly better in the passing game.

4. Panthers QB status - Last year's starter Yadin Sharp is now a senior, last year's back-up Dominic Allen is a junior. Allen did take all the snaps in the Dalton scrimmage. I did hear that they began alternating in practice this week and they did split the snaps about 50/50 tonight. What I saw from each of them tonight is what they showed last year. Yadin has far more mobility, appears comfortable in the position, and the passing is adequate. His athletic mobility is the difference, he makes plays with his feet and opens it up for others. Allen has a stronger arm and is a stronger north/south runner, passing accuracy is fair, but appears to get rattled. To understand the difference, last year Sharp played some at DB while Allen was a starting DE by the end of the year. I'd be starting Sharp, not even a close competition.

5. I have two lines of thought on what is going on with them alternating - a. Coach is getting Allen some playing time to prepare him if needed (Sharp lost some time last year to injuries). b. There appears to be some level of confusion on what the Coach's plan is.

6. Playing off my last comment, Young guy stated there are communication issues on the team. What I heard from more than one person gives me the sense that there is something to this. Coach may have a good plan but that plan seems to be lost on those kids. There's just too many "I don't know what I'm doing one day to the next in practice". I also realize we are dealing with kids that would lose their head if it wasn't attached to their body. But I also remember last year when there were times we looked unorganized on the sideline.

7. I'm not concerned with the running backs, I see a leader emerging in sophomore Phil Partin. Good athlete, was a state wrestling tourney qualifier at 138 pounds earlier this year, started at DB as a freshman and also saw plenty of time on the offense. There are others that are capable but I think Partin will be the leader.

8. I think the Panthers will do well this year. One thing that I hope we see this year again is a no quitting attitude. I thought Coach did a good job of keeping them engaged last year even though they went 1-9. Hope that continues.

9. The new stadium is great, but there's still lots to do with only two weeks until the home opener. The locker rooms, rest rooms, and concession stand are still being finalized.

CS vs Big Red from last night: I did not attend but from what I have heard, CS lost 7-0 in a half of simulated play. CS was in the redzone multiple times but could never punch it in. Sounds encouraging, especially when facing a team like Steubenville. Not too sure what Steubenville's outlook is for 2024 is but it seemed like a competitive scrimmage. Anyone else have any insight?

Just a quick ramble....we all hear about how much local media has been "cut" and that's true. However, there is a priority issue IMO.

Scan the Facebook pages of your local Gannett or other media outlets and you'll see an overwhelming amount of information about the NFL but a far, far, far reduced amount of high school coverage.

BUT.....IMO.....those still on the payroll at the media outlets could pick up a cell phone and text or call coaches for scrimmage reports.

It's just not a priority to these media outlets. They want to tell you stories like "the Minnesota Vikings think Myles Garrett is unworldly talented after practicing against him." Like we didn't already know Garrett is talented. TELL US SOMETHING NEW or better yet PUT MORE FOCUS ON YOUR LOCAL HS SPORTS and less on the NFL.

And I love the NFL. Do you smell what the rock is cookin?

Did anyone attend the cvca norwayne scrimmage ?
I was there but involved in other activities on site and didn't get to see much - if any - of the details. All I can say is CVCA got out to a quick 14-0 lead on the first two possessions. Royals offensive skill guys played three possessions. After that, Norwayne had some success in the passing game and tied it up. Not sure if that was against Royals starters or backups. Late in the half, Norwayne went ahead, but CVCA did have two long 60+ yard touchdown runs called back.

Second half was 10-minute running clocks with JV guys in. Both teams scored multiple times, including a Norwayne tipped Hail Mary that was answered on the final play of the scrimmage.

My advice to you is......

What if we connected with @cuyahogacuse and sent him BellStores gift cards? I have no idea where 'Cuse lives and if they have BellStores where he's at (BellStores gets weaker the farther north of Akron you go) but maybe that's a good first offer?

Cuse HAS to write as part of his job and/or past career and education. I'd be stunned otherwise.

I mean....I write as part of my job and have been paid to write game summaries a long time ago (before GWB finished the first term of his Presidential tenure was when I ended that stuff)...but I don't want to sign up for that newspapers.com account. I'm weird like that. I've got enough accounts and passwords as it is; half of which are embarrassing and subject to arrest in The Netherlands (joking around, stay with me here, people. I'm copying Greg Gutfeld humor).
You wouldn't believe this but @cuyahogacuse full time gig is as a bouncer at a bar similar to the infamous Double Deuce of Roadhouse fame. He writes as a form of therapy and as a way to cope with the work he has to do on a nightly basis so we can all enjoy a cold tall boy without the threat of the town riff raff ruining it for us.
