Singles-B. Salcedo 6-0, 6-1; Warden (B) d. Bolender 6-2, 6-1; Fockler (H) d. R. Salcedo 1-6, 6-2, 7-6(7-4). Doubles-Franczkowski-O'Neil (B) d. Schumacher-Sands 6-3, 6-4; Schuller-Brady (H) d. Howells-Rosati 6-2, 6-2.

Records Hoover 16-3.
 
 
Good win for Boardman. Surprising to see Robert Salcedo take an L. That is the first time one of the top 3 guys have lost their match...actually I think the first time any of them even lost a set. Any idea who Boardman will play in the NEO Finals for the right to head to Columbus?
 
I know this is a dumb question but does the whole team advance to state if they make it or just certain players? Also, when is state for tennis?
 
The whole team would go for the OTCA state team tourney. For the OHSAA state tourney it is only singles players and doubles teams. Boardman's got a real good shot to send their team to Columbus for the OTCA final 4 and have Scott Warden go for singles along w/ the doubles team of the Salcedo brothers to Columbus for the OHSAA state tourney.
 
i'm shocked that robert salcedo lost that match. when i saw the posted score i assumed it was the usual win three singles lose both doubles for boardman. were you there steel?
 
Thanks, steelvalley. NEO08, I was actually up at the track running during Robert Salcedo's match, but I really can't give an opinion on it because I don't follow tennis much.
