What is Steele HS's story here? They were mediocre last year. Same with Hudson. Are they enjoying the move from D1 to D2? Or is there more to the story here? I kind of expected that the other teams in the top 10 to be there. A little shocked that NR is only at 10 though. Heard that they are loaded despite losing their top pitcher from last year.

Looks like D2 is going to be pretty interesting. I mentioned in the D1 thread, that the early playoff rounds look to be much tougher now with all the realignment. Not too many crazy easy first round games anymore unless you are a top seed in your region. Taking a good look at D2 makes me think the same, but the later rounds look a little easier now as the top teams are mostly D1 transplants.

5 of the top 7 teams are from the Northeast.. Luckily NE has 7 districts this year, sharing Region 6 with one of the two Northwest districts.

Besides Hoover, the 3 other Stark County teams are a combined 5-16 if their Maxpreps records are correct. I wouldn't expect any to be ranked any time soon, although one of the 3 teams has a very weak schedule so it's possible I guess.
